Sam, if you don't want to pay fees, NEVER use convenience store ATMs. Use one preferably with your bank, or if your bank allows, an ATM with one of the major banks.
FFS, How does he not know this already? I never take money out of one of those machines as clearly they are going to make you pay more for using an ATM that not from a major bank ATM. However, if you on a holiday and possibly on some small island that does not have a major bank branch it probably your only option. So do not be such a tight ass Sam, If you not organised to have enough cash on you already you probably deserve to be charged the measly surcharge fee for an emergency cash withdrawal.
It easy enough to withdrawal some money at the supermarkets anyway, that you can avoid ATM's if you only taking out a couple of hundred at a time. But if he on an island maybe no supermarket big chain either. Sue has to be smiling and shaking her head as she films this.
It is getting beyond a joke, ATM providers charging those kind of fees. Go and cash some empty drink containers in for some cash.

Correct, society is dictated by 'the system' these days (more than ever)... and the majority of people are either too lazy or too stupid to do otherwise. I hate the world today, and although I am 'only' in my late 40s, I can't wait to be free of this realm. Don't worry Sam, I get bloody stumped every time I use a damn ATM should read debit, credit, or cheque. If you go to a big supermarket, they don't usually charge you to take your money out, but it's limited to $500. Lucky you didn't take it out of credit card...

Private ATM platforms installing ATMs in supermarkets and hotels all charge a fee to withdraw money.. the money in the ATM inserted into the ATM is the store or shops own money shop they collect the fee charged and pay the ATM company a monthly rental fee to have the ATM in their stores.
