- A dark feeling of despondence consumed Irish football in the beginning of June 2015 as Scottish fans celebrated a 1-1 draw in Dublin. However, the campaign was far from over, Martin O’Neill never gave up the fight, knowing they could still qualify.
Numerous times when Ireland were written off, they came back. Three injury time goals that contributed 5 points to their standing, going unbeaten against the reigning World Champions Germany, overcoming their seeded opponents Bosnia & Herzegovina in the playoffs to qualify for their sixth major championship. This is the story of qualification, these are the goals that fired us to France and sparked the dreams of people across this island in the beginning of June 2016!
Sweden, Belgium, and Italy await us in France. Bring it On. If there’s one thing this squad has in abundance, its self-belief. They never lacked it, and neither have the supporters

Great video. Sums up the qualifying campaign. i remember after the Poland home and Scotland home games being despondent. Then came Georgia, Germany, Bosnia results. Oh the highs and lows of being an Irish fan. brilliantly edited video with some emotional moments.

a little optimistic, my friend. That's good though, means your hopeful. The thing about is yes Griezmann was offside but if Duffy was marking him instead of trying to help deal with Giroud (who was always win that header) the goal could be prevented. Other that small mistake we did really well at the Euros and I am very proud of the boys in green. I think in 2018, we could upset a few since there is some good young players coming up the ranks. The only I am worried about is despite the spirit, we need a natural goal scorer and hopefully one of the youngsters can be the next Robbie Keane. We can become the Giant Killers of the World Cup 2018. Republic of Ireland; The Revolution and the Experience. COYBIG.
