Man, Mark Sandman was a genius! Terrific lyrics, terrific sound. God, why they don't make such music anymore?
He died in the 90's far as i know.
You just have to look for it. Members of the band went on to do other projects, (Twinemen, A.K.A.C.O.D., Bourbon Princess, etc,) and other newer artists have taken inspiration from Morphine. The music you want is out there, but you might have to hunt.

the lyrics say that a woman sent him an empty box with all the things he never gave her... she said to fill it up and send it back. He sent back the empty box ... probably a disappointing response. That fits well with my results.
The thing is, later: "Then an empty box came floating by, an empty box - and I crawled inside". So he probably never gave her himself.
She was an empty box that wanted him to fill her, but he couldn’t. But he climbed into another empty box when he needed help.
He gave her everything once before, the empty box was an invitation to reacquaint and be lovers again. He rejected it for whatever reason - more than likely fear - returning the box empty. It was the same empty box that then came floating by, she had discarded it and though he had intimations of it before that's when he realised the depth of his mistake, too late. He crawled inside and allowed the ocean to do what it will with him, he'd lost control and was now at the mercy of events.
