First ever ride on dirt with my new Voge 300 Rally

- Video of me riding my brand new Voge 300 Rally which I picked up yesterday from MOTOPC in Portimão Algarve rode it home 30kms and today took it on the loose stuff for the first time been riding for 46 years but always on tarmac, so thought at 62 I would try a dual sport as we have amazing trails here in Portugal, it was interesting to say the least still got plenty to learn but really enjoyed the bike
Im sure you have heard this already, probably multiple times but thats how important it is. Out of all the off road gear you can buy , the absolute most important thing is motocross boots. Not adventure boots but mid to top shelf motocross boots. Alpinestars tech 7 enduro drystars are perfect , Fox Instinct , they are expensive but its on piece of gear you dont skimp on. Hope you're enjoying yourself out there.
There’s nothing wrong with sitting down on gravel tracks. With time you will begin to get a feel for the times that you should stand up. Most of the tracks you’ve filmed today would be fine sitting, it’s when things get a bit tricky, a bit more technical or bumpy that standing becomes important. I’ve got a 50km circuit that I often do from my home and although it’s mainly off-road I still sit for about 60% of the time.
Thanks for your feedback as I am a complete novice at this I will try and get it right from the get go so will try sitting down next time I am out i must admit it does feel very different when standing more in control but advise from more experienced off road riders is what I am looking for so thank you.

Thank you, went out again today got another 125kms on it now know how to move my weight around the bike on corners feels wrong but defo helped.
Envious of the nice tracks you have to ride. Keep the videos coming as you progress to the more narly stuff :-)
Cheers mate yeh very early days but loving it, woke up this morning with some strange aches and pains obviously using muscles I haven't used in a long while LOL
