A Really Big Wave At Keramas! (Opening Scene)

This was the biggest swell of the year so far, and with glassy conditions on Bali’s east coast, Keramas was churning out some bombs.
The wind stayed light into the afternoon, so sleeping in wasn’t a valid excuse for missing out on a serious session at Bali’s premiere right hander.

I’m old now and haven’t surfed for 10 years, I remember my first trip to Bali in 1981 and surfed this spot with no one else in the water. I had recently began riding a twin fin, but these boards still lacked speed.
