    Thanks for the video, I am shocked to learn all of this as I work for an outfit in Dartmouth MA, we, as a company use to build boats, Concordia, now we are in the business of storage both inside and out. When the boats sit inside all season, they have us work on them with an inch of dust where we can’t wash because as you know boats are stacked, besides boat wash, any idea? At this point vacuum
    & apply product & in my opinion, there has to be something better? Thanks

    what type of soap was used again? how long does this basic wash take on average? and do you have a video of a full detail of a boat and how long does that take on average?

    • @fishbluewater
      @fishbluewater  Před rokem +4

      Smoove is the name of the boat soap. It comes in a purple bottle. A basic wash on a bout our size is about 30 minutes. We don’t have a full detail video yet but can certainly try to put one together in the future

    What do I use for mildew seats ?

    • @fishbluewater
      @fishbluewater  Před 2 měsíci

      Try mild mildew remover while dry or a diluted bleach solution. And just let it sit for a couple mins and rub with a soft brush or lightly with a magic eraser

    Did he just say that the roof gets dirty due to Airplanes flying above??? @4:30 👀

    • @fishbluewater
      @fishbluewater  Před rokem +1

      Yes there’s a private airport close by and we get prop planes flying on a daily

      Hahaha i was thinking the same, but even with the explanation here I didn’t understand why a prop plane will make the roof of a boat dirty

      @@andrebatista8501you would be really surprised how much all aircraft over head do to a boat.
      We are both detailers and pilots so we have experience in both ends to determine that it is soot. South Florida is a crazy airspace not only do we have prop planes flying overhead but also airliners departing.
      You should see how dirty the underside of aircraft’s get

      @@brettschneider8521 A&P mechanic here from st Pete area. Can back up that soot will absolutely wreck havoc if flying at low altitude especially during takeoff and landing when engine power is usually slightly higher than cruise.

    4:38 Airplane soot..... riiiiiight..... It's on the top so it can only be from an airplane I guess. Not just from good old wind or anything.

    • @fishbluewater
      @fishbluewater  Před 11 měsíci +2

      There is an airport just west of the boat location and planes fly directly over regularly

    • @roykalil6298
      @roykalil6298 Před 10 měsíci +2

      I don't believe they meant it was the only thing, but definitely a contributing factor for their location. "Good old wind" doesn't dirty your boat it's what carries all of the crap that does. Different areas have different things that will affect your surfaces.
