I remember cribbs was the whole reason I watched Cleveland football back in the day when Cleveland wasnt really that good but sheesh was cribbs exciting to watch
I want to see his tackling highlights as well. Don’t forget how many times he made a clutch tackle on the kickoff right after his touchdown returns. The man should have been a strong safety.
Joe Thomas said he could've been a premier RB in the league. But he was also the best special-teams player in the league, so there would've been a trade-off to featuring him at RB. They eventually played him more at WR late in his career in Cleveland.
Love how during this time, Ben Roethlisberger (Miami OH), Josh Cribbs (Kent State) and Charlie Frye (Akron) who were the MAC stars at QB would play against each other as Steelers vs Browns.
That's irrelevant though... the ball touched his hands initially, so he had to grab it regardless. If he let it go into the endzone, it would've been a safety
@@christopherhejduk3291 he is referring to that pos thug Harrisons hit which he then got up and taunted after a helmet to helmet hit. I'm not a fan of either team but I find it funny that Pitt fans cry over the Hit from burfict to brown but there is like 30 clips of dirty hits from pit players that you never mention. Get fucked
Takes it tooo the CRIB
I remember when the Bengals and Palmer would play the Browns,Cribbs was an absolute MENACE. Kicking off was most nerve wracking for the opposing team.
You were one of the best Browns since the rebirth in 1999, Josh! Thank you for your awesome service! 😎 🏈

It was a shame that they never could win with Cribbs and Joe Thomas. Both class acts
@@josephhecht6331 Don't forget Phil Dawson as well...
@@velikynovgorod4358 Phil Dawson is the man... dude was a stud in fantasy because the offense could never get in the endzone!

Came here to find those myself. He was equally as good at coverage as he was returning. A true dawg for life
He’s insane
As a Steeler fan, cribbs was fun to watch! Miss those days
I bet you do. Lol... Browns won about 1 out of every 10 against Pittsburgh back then!
The definition of what a football player is
Facts that’s why I say Dion the goat football player
Gotta love cribbs
Why we never played him at RB is beyond me
He low-key runs like Derrick Henry. Not nearly as strong but something looks similar
True swiss army knife. He kinda was a rb in those wildcats but man he already played too many positions as it was 😂

Hmm I never thought of that! I believe James Harrison went to Kent St as well
Great dude from Ohio
When ur friend Izzy’s dad is this legend
Awesome stuff. You should post this on the Browns sub reddit.
Thank you! Good idea
Fun to watch! Even though Browns went 1-7 against the Steelers during Cribbs time there
Imagine him 16 games starting as running back
CTE was the excuse not to pay guy’s like Cribbs and Hester.
That’s why the kickoff was moved up and the wedge eliminated.
Except at 0:44 you can clearly see the ball was touching the line

Good try nathaniel

Steelers tried to kill him.
Shows how trash they are.
Miles Garrett actually tried to kill Mason. Brown, as always, are trash.

A Browns player actually tried to kill a Steeler though (see: Mason Rudolph)

Not just him but James Harrison also knocked out Colt McCoy and Mohammed Massaqoui from dirty hits
Great football player on a bad team
Hall of Fame! What sets Cribbs apart from other great returners is his ability to also cover kicks. No better special teams player.
