no. just no.. his technic is 100% on weaves any decent fighter today would crush him, back then people didnt know how to respond to it.. also ran like a puss after one hard match and stopped at the super early age of 28, barely old enough to even be considered an experienced fighter in mma, as example.
Man this guy was truly a superhuman talent. His speed, reflexes, chin, fight iq and power should not all belong to one human.
Talented with high fight IQ. Plus starting very early + trained by one of best trainers early.

You have to respect the restrain also. He probably could have taken cheap shots from his knockouts, but stops. He’s both respectful and disrespectful to his opponents, if that makes any sense 😂
@@jasonluis8895 no, you're right, it makes sense. He loved who he was on the ring, he loved the whole ego play arrogance around boxing, he loved the sport, he seemed however very low IQ outside the ring and probably saw respect and manner as boring. I think he also reflects the UK Sheffield upbringing, kind of a hooligan. I think his whole role acting improved his enjoyment of the sport and played a positive part in developing his crazy innovative daring angles skills and everything. He merits the hall of fame, he was too good for who he was.
His loss against Barrera kinds of puts the world back to normal, if that makes sense.
Im speechless and confused about not having heard of him before. He is way ahead of our time even.

What most people often don't realize or give him credit for is that *Prince Naseem Hamed* single-handedly brought the lower weight-classes to popularity in the modern-day UK and US markets. Lower weight-classes rarely got mainstream coverage and they were never headliners in the West back then. *Prince Naseem* was so badass and entertaining that people and TV networks just couldn't look away even though he was a _Featherweight._
Ha ha ha, I think you missed the boxers from Mexico and Philippines, who are mostly in the class! Well known from being warriors instead clowns! 😁
The big market is U. S. who are the known Britain boxers?
Agree. Most boxers hype fights for months and then the actual fight isn't that special. At least his fights were entertaining. That's why everyone watched. If people weren't a fan of him, they'd still watch in the hope he got beaten.
@@estebanbenitez9383 he meant from a money standpoint. Naseem earned millions when it was rare for lower weight fighters to earn good money. At that time heavyweight was the only craze.

My first 37 min video I ever watched on CZcams and the first comment on CZcams to Tribute to Naseem, the one who has a unique style and a real Champion. Applaus for video editor to such a great video.
I see a lot of people discrediting him, but at the end of the day not every boxer has to be in the GOAT debate. Prince entertained many people across the world and accomplished his goals, and he had insane power and speed for his weight. Some of those shots you aren’t even able to see properly, it’s just brutal. This was a great video!
Brilliant to watch❤
Prince was a rare talent! I've never seen anything before and after him as far as his unique abilities. The most entertaining fighter of all time! He's definitely an ATG for his ring entrances! Today's ring entrances pales in comparison to what he used to do.
who am i to judge him but his arrogance made him a champion
I was going to write something about thanking the heavens for slow motion and replay because I did not see some of those hit let alone where they came from.
Prince Naseem was a GREAT boxer who defeated multiple world champs across all sanctioning bodies. The people trying to descredit him are genuine haters. He single-handedly brought the lower weight-classes like featherweight to popularity in the modern-day UK and US. If people are hating him because they don't recognize his opponents it's because there were no recognizable boxers in those classes _until_ Nas broke the doors wide open for all of them.

Sure, when he got his butt kicked by Antonio Barrera who was also at the same age. Bacically he wasn't able to psychologically survive this defeat.
And then you could see the difference in the class, movement, and fighting. Not even close to Barrera. He simply knew his time was done (or should I say his trainer, and boxing promoters milked all they could from his fights at this point).

Great video. It's good that the Americans have made this video. It gives a true and unbiased account of his career and talents, leaving the British views of the times on his persona in the past. It shows most of his fights in good detail and reminds us with a clear mind that these fighters that he was dispatching were very credible contenders, and championship fighters with exceptional records. It wasn't "barerra and then everyone he fought before was rubbish". Anybody who continues to comment like that hasn't watched the video, or hasn't grown up. Getting rid of his long time trainer was one of the worst things he could have done for himself, in my opinion. You never forget those that supported you when you were first starting out. Notice how he was using less footwork and opting to slug things out in his later matches
It is ironic that he said its all about money and that makes him a Judas. When he was making 10% of nothing, the trainer had his back. When he started making bank 10% was too much for him to pay out. Sounds like money changed his mind not the other way around

Why haven't I heard of him before?? He was such a surreal and unearthly character! Man, I love him... Wish I was born in the 80s to watch him! Unreal!
90s...
@@carlosdangerfield9477 if you were born in the 90's you would have been a toddler and probably not watching boxing in the 90's.🤣

@@cknorris3644 Thanks! 😇
I was a fan of Steve Robinson's before Naz came on the scene... Thinking back, I remember Naz being quite an inspiration cause he was practically superhuman... a "real-life Bruce Lee".
His name is Naseem Hamed, origin from Yemen 🇾🇪 Muslim, proud of his mother Land and origin .. talented and legendary.. wish the best for his son ❤
The night/morning before the Billy Hardy fight, we were at rainbows snooker club in Manchester at 2am in the morning. In walks Nas with his entourage to meet the club owner, his friend. He had a world title fight on at 10pm that same day in Manchester and this guy is chilling at a snooker club. No discipline but he would still easily win his fights. Guy was a genius.
Punch so fast they almost invisible, his hooks are awesome
I still watch his fights weekly. One of the best boxers of my lifetime.
He was one of my favourite boxers of the 90's when there were so many greats plus this guy was just pure entertainment and that boxing style will never been reproduced again.
One of the GOATs...the prince will forever be remembered in boxing history!
People seem to always hate on others because of personality, perceptions of personality, etc., not giving credit to the person's talent. Regardless of all the antics that caused the hate, this guy was talented. I have never seen a boxer fight with his hands down, contradicting all of boxing techniques, and still coming out with only one defeat over an entire career. Out of the box, aka "unconventional" is hated on in so many disciplines, but it never does it make a person wrong for being that way. This guy had BIG talent.
never seen Vitali boxing?
True, his talent and godly weaving skills go unappropriated by majority of the people.
I specifically respect him for creating his own unique playstyle that is created through originality and experience from the battles. He's one of those boxers who got some personality when it comes to fighting.
He was a great whether you like him or not! No one will ever fight like him ever again!
true but his entrances were a bit over exagerating and kinda ridiculous 🖐️😂
Inoue would destroy him.
I said fight like him..not beat him lol
@@Paul-Waldinwe can be thankful no one will, only a disrespectful pos would act the way he does.
@@Brianchseoh someone is rising with hamed's style so there will be one more😏
Throughout these years, no one has asked about the meaning of his name
With us, the name Naseem means the calm, soft wind. In the Arabic language, naseem means the swift wind.
You can search for the name yourself😊
There is an Arabic proverb for a person whose name is similar. They say the name is given by its name..
It was literally like a calm, fleeting wind
noone cares
Yes. Naseem is a wet fart.

Indeed, this young man is light, flexible, and has killer shots. He is the best boxer at this age that I have ever seen
Where have the years gone! He was the greatest boxer ever.
What a phenomena, i never thought something like that even existed
He was good man!
He found a unique way of doing something that fitted for him and become very good at it.
He was the prince in boxing 💪
