Watching Saenchai's smile disappear when his opponent starts dancing is on the list of my top favorite things to see. He holds back more than any legend I've ever seen.
He’s too good. If you don’t know who he is, his fights look like exhibitions. Watching his older stuff or watching his opponents other fights shows you how good he is to make it look so easy. I mean, my god, Nong O was a straight killer and he beat him 6 out of 6. Unbelievable. Great video

What makes Saenchai so amazing is how good spirited he is about everything. It's not just that he is a next level fighter, he actually has fun with it. That is something rare In serious sports like combat.
Yeah, and he takes no bull, it is refreshing to see a fighter that gets angry instead of disheartened when his opponents mock him, you simply don't mess with Saenchai

Thai fighters are the epitome of discipline and sheer muscle, in my opinion no other fighter puts so much power in their strikes, they are not out to land strikes but instead there to cause damage and end the fight with each strike
With that said Saenchai is good at holding back, tempering himself to make the fight last, until you mock him, then he gets stronger rather than discouraged

MY VERY FAVORITE, OR AMONG THE TOP 5 OF ALL TIME. ITS ALWAYS EASY TO GO WITH FIGHTERS LIKE TYSON, ALI, BADR, etc. Is the fighters like Bonjasky, Lomachenko, Buakaow, Senchai, and very few others are hard not to revere because despite size, unorthodox styles, often and enormous hardships on their way to the top, they, the GOAT’s, exceed expectations and become forever imprinted on our memories.
I don't know much about fighting, but I recognize a good martial artist when I see one, I have seen many fighters that claim to have beaten hundred plus fighters, but out of them while many seek weak opponents to increase their score this is the most convincing, this guy actively seeks opponents larger than himself and destroys them
I love his combination of high punches to open his opponents up and then destroy them with high kicks, once he's mad you can't defend against him, he predicts and lands straight
After 75 KO's, his teacher no longer forces bullies to fight.
So his first real loss came at the age of 43 with one broken finger...? That's nuts!
As long as you let him have his fun it just hurts a bit. But as soon as you try to mock him, he's becoming your worst nightmare :0

He has incredible balance and sense of his centre of mass. Compact body and efficient motion put a lot more power behind his attacks. Genetics has also blessed him with a tough body. Just the full package.

I totally agree with this. I've seen footage of boxers very easily and effectively take control of a situation taking out multiple opponents. Boxing and it's footwork just works, it's that simple. There's nothing fancy about it.
Saenchai makes muaythai looks so easy,his movements are just fluent and effortless..He is unpredictable and sneaky in his attacks..He is ine of the best fighter i have ever seen
It's one thing to have an awesome highlight reel nowadays.

What a rare talent, mixing powerful and unpredictable kicks with super accurate punching! So many fighters can only do one, or at least, one skill clearly better than the other but Saenchi is in a class of his own!!

A great story, but the true winner for me was the choices of music here, dang that's some inspiring music, I love how the guy goes "True form Akuma" when you anger him, showing that he has been holding back all the time in order for the match to last

He was 40 or 40+ when he fought his friend last year, with one of his fists unavailable, against another rock hard, younger, legend who’s as fierce and talented as him….if you ask me, I’m sure he held back, it’s very subtle, but I’m sure he did, they both did to a point, now take that away, no injuries, both on their peak, SENCHAI maybe wouldn’t have knocked him out, and when I say maybe I mean a very slim in the low tens percentile maybe, but in my opinion Senchai it’s a freak of nature of a fighter, a once every century athlete in a specific division or specialized sport. Whoever spends ANY time training or even training in his vicinity has a chance no other mortal will ever have, or at least til another fighter of his caliber comes along and last enough to retire and teach. Which when you look at all those variables you realize how precious and privileged we are to have witnessed this giant in action throughout his unique career. He truly is the GREATEST.

I taught this guy how to move.
One day I pulled him to the side and said "Sae(cause thats what i called him)move like me and you will great".
He started to move like me and the rest is history.
I know it was only an "exhibition" but his loss to Buakaw in BKB was hard to watch, its genuinely the first time where I've seen father time taking its toll on him. No disrespect to Buakaw either, he looked great, his skills and power certainly played a huge factor
