yea im calling bs on the no black smoke, I have a 2005 lly duramax with the banks tuner and i have no problem blowing black smoke with my truck.
Did you install the complete kit as shown in this video??? Or did you just install the tuner itself?
I saw a guy at an oil change place I worked at that rolled in with a 2001 Ford F-250 crew cab shirt bed with a 7.3. After He pulled in & We popped the hood , I asked Him what He did to the truck- He said the banks power pack, after paying, He left& pulled out on the street leaving a huge cloud of black smoke. Clean tune technology my a$$!

Banks engineers systems that do not roll coal. There won't be any more black smoke than stock, and probably less.

And that truck makes 310hp 520 tq from the factory..this truck is a LLY...the horse power he stated is a LB7..there 300hp and 520 tq
I agree, I own a 2005 LLY, but I have read both sets of numbers depending on where you look. What else is odd, Ian states Banks power pack adds 100HP and 230lbs/ft of torque. I call BS....I have EFI live, and it adds 90HP, and guessing about 180lbs/ft or torque on highest setting.
05 lly 520 tq the 06 lly which is pretty much a de tuned lbz, puts out 605 tq.

id have that intake crammed full of snow and mud so fast....what a dorky design
Its actually great for people not off roading smart guy.... Looking for power up hills merging and towing. They offer the kit with out that depending on application. It is a Banks set up they think of everything why you pay 2 grand for these kits.

ALDL connector? That's an OBD2 connector....
Assembly Line Diagnostic Link was the correct name at Gm before their introduced the obd2. But considering this is a 2005, you are also correct
