Kiara was a hypocrite for 2 good reasons: 1, she claimed that she would never hunt a human, but she tried to kill Morty & Summer. 2, she denounced Jerry & humanity as being selfish & manipulative, but she was doing the same thing.

He owned up to his mistakes, but only after one of his kids nearly died over it in front of his own eyes. The fact that he kept them in that dangerous situation and tried to run instead of fixing it immediately still shows how much of a shitpile he is.

He saw how deadly his girlfriend was with all the hunts and he still sent her to kill his kids, his daughter was being choked to death in front of him and he still tried to look like the good guy. He locked Beth out of the car while a crazy homeless man tried to kill her with a broken bottle.

This is honestly one of the reasons to why I don't like Jerry, and am genuinely confused to whenever people sympathize or even like Jerry.
Jerry hooked up with Kiara as a rebound without regard for her culture regarding soul mates before and after learning about it (especially after, and yeah, granted, she was a hypocrite too, but this ain't about her), and threw his own kids under the bus when trying to break up with her, and it wasn't until they were on Death's Door that he finally manned up and took responsibility.
Yes, he took responsibility in the end, but the fact that he put his own kids in danger on purpose and kept up the lie until the last minute is also a testament to his character (or lack thereof, really).
It's easy and understandable to sympathize and empathize with Jerry (heck, I myself relate to him far more than I wish to), but it's also quite baffling to me how some people can like him and even claim that he's better than Rick (even if it's true, it's still setting the bar rather low, and without context, it implies that he's a saint).
Yeah, he's the least smelling shitpile, but he's still a shitpile. I feel like the last part is something people forget all too often because of how much they relate to Jerry, but don't want to admit that just because it's relatable it doesn't make it a good trait.

WHAT I HOPE COULD HAPPEN TO (MORTY) IN THE SEVENTH SEASON:
I think it would be great if (Morty) could develop a romantic relationship with an alien girl, who is the same age as him, and that she is the same species as this adult alien woman who is pissed at JERRY in this episode scene.
I also want to see MORTY take his half breed son (Morty Jr.) to the planet:GAZORPAZORP, and have his son developed a romantic relationship with a female of the species.
In addition I imagine that the female (Morty Jr.) falls in love with, she might be either a universal-translator, or she might be an ambassador of the all female tribe.
It's stuff like this that makes you forget how Jerry can become an absolute powerhouse in the right circumstances, Remember "Rick potion no. 9"?
