this is the full version of eiyuden on playstation 5 which i received yesterday as the physical backer rewards were fulfilled a bit early.
it's probably the closest to suikoden 2 a game has been for me since 1999.

this duel caught me off guard, even as someone very familiar with them in the originals! there didn't seem to be a clear "win" among the three options, so it's not as simple as RPS. if it's a scripted loss i feel a lot better haha
