Great video. Always worth sticking around til the end of the videos. Some great hardware going into the build. Keep up the great work fams.
Great modding Nick !!
Hey Nic, like your videos and hell no, this one wasn't boring at all. Watching people with some kind of dedication like you have it is a nice sort of entertainment. Your voice is narrative and warm, so I liked listening to you, too #nohomo. Hope you'll get more attention in the future! Greetings from Germany
Dude I don't know if I got a newer version of this case but in my case there were four screws so no need for a drill, sadly I did realize this possiblity after I pushed the power supply in with force 😬
great vid guys.it wasnt boring lol.im still using my antec 900 lol .looks good blacked out .
Now if you're feeling squirrelly, print out a large stencil of the GS logo for the front panel and use it as a guide to drill a bunch of 2mm holes. Could even throw a subtle led strip on it to give a nice indirect orange glow.
Woo case mod. Keen for the build, keep it up
Lol.. love the mods and the simplicity. I built a FreeNas system using the fractal design define c (no windows). It's tucked away and just works. Can't remember the last time it's been shut off.
I think it looks good.
Good on you mate, a nice genuine video I'll always give ya a like
Very informative video, it helped me decide to get this case. FYI, they use screws now instead of rivets. My case (S600 with metal side) has 2 screws in the bottom and 2 in the top of that metal bracket, so I could easily remove it by taking out the 4 screws -- no drilling required. It also came with 2 fans (front and back). So far, the case has been easy to use.
Your vids helped me heaps to build my first pic ! Which I made a vid of !
lmao i swear nick's just incentivizing us to stick till the end with all the spoilers
I was also looking for an early 2000s looking workstation grade case, and guess what?!
I just bought a 20year old Chieftec case :P
That front airflow is so dang important. I cut a design into the front of my phanteks evolv x. It’s all on water. Coolant temp dropped 5-6 C.
Hey! I too have a watercooled system in the Evolv X and my coolant reaches ~39C under load. Did you get a front panel from modmymods or did you mod it yourself?
I did the mod myself. Made a video too. Came out alright for my first try😂
I fit a my EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 GT with no needing to mod. As for the front, all you need to do is open the door if you really wanted but even with the door closed it had very little improvment on temp just allows more dust in.
Would it be a good idea for case manufacturers to actually embed cables already routed neatly in their cases? I mean, usually cases only accept mobos a certain way with case holes already positioned for specific cables to go through them from already determined locations. i.e. there's only one place the PSU is installed in so it can be estimated where the cables need to come from and go to. Same thing with the I/O port cables, the location of drives, and the hole meant for GPU power cables. If the case came with pre-embeded modular cables that you just need to attach one end to the PSU and the other end to the corresponding port near the hole, wouldn't it make for the cleanest cable-management case ever?
Hello nick, can you do a build using prime z [s] case? Thanks
I dig it, but couldn't you just leave the door there, but open? Maybe you would have the option of focusing airflow/silence depending on what the computer is doing.
For my use case no. I need all of the air. The silence is not important
no way the glass is more quiet!
Please review cooler master mb311l
LOL, "If you like this video... I dunno" :D
True story lol
Looks like a btec nzxt h510 case lmao
Yea
Man even with a haircut, you still look the same as if you didnt get a haircut
You want he should A) Shave his head? or B) become the next Steve from Gamers Nexus? Lol. ;)
My hair is heaps shorter lol
@@GearSeekers i srsly wouldnt have noticed it if you hadnt pointed it out
I bought this case because it can take 4X3.5" HDDs and he's just drilling them out haha.
Haircut!!
Looks kind of like the phanteks enthoo pro m
Yeah a little
Fractal design C and mini C...
Does not have the size we need for custom watercooling
If you wanted a server looking design I would have went with anything fractal design
Not my first rodeo. Either too big or too small
@@GearSeekers *insert angry fractal design Josh ad here*
