I hate my dad even more now for not wakeing me up
moe animel Get an alarm clock, idiot.
Brake it up idiot
bull heads
Moe you are now awake
I actually woke up not long before this but never checked what time this was supposed to be and was in zombie state since woke up from squeeky window and was so tired i didn't even know what day it was, turns out it happened ~30-40 min after i woke up.
Was a perfect sunny day in the Midlands, perfect weather. I watched it. we didn't get total here was about 90% so none of this awesomeness unfortunately
But you didn't watch it directly right?
Lucky! Southend was rubbish! Didn't see a thing as the clouds were so thick. It just went a tad darker, that was it. I was so disappointed. I was actually really excited for it :(
Same! It was so disappointing but it did get a bit darker at least
It didn't hardly go dark but it went very cold
Same here. We had to use this stupid pinhole method which was rubbish
85 years?! Total solar eclipse in south-west kentucky 21:st of august 2017......85 years?!??!! In THAT particular location perhaps....
Yes in united kingdom. 2099
In Denmark; 2142...
in germany it's gonna be 2081. i could be alive then...
HeyItsMe and 2126 in Finland
In England 2090
I love solar eclipses! They beautiful!
Surriaya Mir It's coming on August 21 2017 get Ready for it
Princess Rapunzel you're 8 months late for a reply
Ahhh she said corona, she knew the coronavirus was going to happen in 2020
Am I the only one mad it was soon zoomed in. I need perspective
August 21 2017 there's another one! but can only be seen in the US
yep!
It will be visible in Canada too, at least partially.
I don't know for the other provinces, but in Quebec the sun is supposed to be covered partially at 50%
You mean 40%?
I read it on a Canadian astronomy website. Where did you get that value?
Mean Bean actually Feb 10/11 welp your actually right but it's really close your actually pretty much right because I searched it up it was probably the number 1 fastest eclipse sorry if you don't know đ
At first i didn't see why people disliked it, then at the end when they rubbed it in our faces that there won't be another one in 85 years....
That was a nice commentary from the lady. Very passionate and genuinely taken aback.
Ladies be talkin' about diamond rings.
Joshua Brooks haha
Joshua Brooks same but amazing
The eclipse caused such a massive impact that all tripods suddenly weren't funtionable anymore during this minute, that was the day, the camera career of new intern "Shaky BjĂžrg" started.
And that was the day, when they were using a plane and a telephoto lens from 20,000 feet up. You do realize that it would move right, even if your stationary on the ground. Couple that with the movement of a moving plane, please tell me that a tripod would do anything.
the default stabilizing tool from after effects would have reduced the shaking almost completely, also you could've zoomed out a bit and filmed it in 4k, then crop the borders to 1080p, so you got more room to not let it move out of the filming area but still have it fill the screen, it's BBC they should be able to do that^^
metalhood you old man now its 8k bruv with a flipping phone
amazing i got too look directly at it with the safety glasses in school, an amazing sight once in a life time...
Me and my class were gonna watch this, but because there were too many storm clouds, we couldn't. Everyone was so disappointed, and worse, my dad saw it when he was at work xD
Same

Greenleaf 82 I live in the overlap area where this solar eclipse from this year and the one in 2024 meet. Therefore I can see both of them in the course of 7 years! :O
Don't you think that's a little too much smart talking for you peter?
I had a script Lois wrote me. :)
We had a total eclipse in Australia in the 1970 s.
I'm in Melbourne. I wish I could get to experience a solar/lunar eclipse in my lifetime.
Billa Bum I was in Melbourne at the time, it's a weird experience.
aca lo pasaron x la tele
The northern hemisphere had a solar eclipse of the sun. Doesn't happen very often. it happened here in the 1970s Noemi.
yo tenia 1 año en esa epoca no los vi
I tried to watch it but all I could see was clouds.
Best you didn't because you'd potentially lose you're sight
Same!!!
Actually, untrue.

screams from new mexico
Didn't even go dark round our way so this eclipse will probably now be hailed as the biggest event of the century and a great day for Britain (especially East London, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow) and anyone that missed out is a sucker đ
I did because I can just watch it here. Also i'm not going blind so that's a plus
WOW! PERFECT!!! Mashallah!
What a spectacular video, BBC! Well captured.
Gorgeous!
it was so cloudy here :/ we couldn't even see where the sun was
i can't wait for solar eclipse on my country this morning :D
yay me too
IT STARTS NOW!!! :D on indonesia
In palembang it just fu*king cloud lol
It's so freaking cool here in balikpapan dude!!!
Me too
That's amazing, the fact that those commentators were completely speechless just when the diamond ring appeared added to the effect of how incredible this is...
If you ever get a chance to see one in person, do it. It is TRULY amazing!
Think they need a better camera man, he was all over the place!!
It was shot from a plane 25,000 feet up. So cut them some slack...
I get that but its not that difficult to shoot an image from an aeroplane and keep it in the cameras eye
Freya Di Bernardo well yes it is hard when you consider that they probably used a telephoto lens for shooting this.
Freya Di Bernardo You obviously know nothing. They''re on an airplane, using a telephoto lens, taking video of the sun that IS moving. If you ever get the chance to take a look at the moon with a telescope or just a telephoto lens on a camera, you'll realize just how fast it travels across the sky. It won't stay in view for long and now imagine you're on a plane that's moving.
infinite tsukuyomi complete...
I watch it on school was awesome .
I'm so excited for the 2017 eclipse
Today was too cloudy were I live, I'm so unlucky :(
Same was a disappointment
Same

Witnessed some of it in Birmingham as the weather was clear. It was about 90% still good to me.
I would like to use the link to this video on a lesson I plan giving students regarding what a solar eclipse is all about and I think this is one of the best I've seen or heard. Thank you for posting this lovely video. We are to have one in mid-America in August of this year and I hope that one of my family members has an opportunity to witness it. The brilliance of the "diamond ring" effect is captured beautifully here. Great job!
Legal que ano que vai ter de novo e sera que agente vai tar aqui anda nsete mundo
Some ppl think the world is flat still lol
I remember in an eclipse, when it started to get dark, I noticed the flowers closing, as they would if night was near.
Brilliant Eclipse, truly awesome

When I saw the eclipse. I remembered the line from Star Trek IV. "We cannot survive without the Sun".
Is okay to look into a eclipse?
It hurts your eyes
FIREFLY123 GAMING you have to have special viewing glasses to watch or you will go blind
