    EI methode is amazing, i use it for 1 month now. The plants explode in growth with Co2, wow. I now use the liquid version, if it go's well im gonna use powders.

      Why you changing from liquid to powder? Is it because it's cheaper?

    So did you find that it is necessary to adjust the dosing amount without getting algae? I found that i had to fine tune the actual amount needed for each of the ferts, but i started off with the basic levels it gives for my aquarium size. Just curious cause it seems a lot of people end up doing this on the forums including my self.

    Hi I started EI ferts from the same company you reviewing here. I follow their dosage and my plants grow like crazy !!! Anyway they grow fast but green dust algae grow on my plants and glass I don't know what to do. Also after dosing MGSO4 to my tank the KH and GH went up which is not what I would like to achieve

    Hi George, is there any other fertilizer you add? Something like a Fe-fertilizer?

    +George Farmer. Hi. At the moment I'm using EI fertilizer method on my existing tank with perfect result, but it's on JBL Manado substrate.
    I'm staring new tank soon on ADA Amazonia. Would you still recommend fertilizing with EI or It will be too much nutrients? Thank

    George, please share your experiences with using this kit. What can we expect to happen in the aquarium and in what time scale etc? How effective is this method?
    You haven't really reviewed the product you've just shown us how to add powder to a bottle and mix it.

    • @GeorgeFarmerStudios
      @GeorgeFarmerStudios  Před 6 lety +2

      EI is a very well documented and successful method. I was using it for years before I developed my own liquid,
      which is based on the same principles.
      Assuming all other growth conditions are appropriate (light, CO2, circulation, plant health and biomass) then you can expect to see better growth in days.
      Apologies for not showing how to mix it. It’s a case of simply adding the powder first, then water, then shaking until dissolved.
      I hope that helps and thanks for the feedback.

    Hey George, Would dosing this be suitable in a 20g 60~Litre tank? I currently dose all the Easylife liquid ferts, but here the EI is a better dosing system

    George, have you ever experienced issues with certain brands of fertilisers? I’ve heard that if you have hard water some ferts are ineffective depending on what they’re made with.

    Hi George,
    1. Do we need/ Should we use: Chelated Iron combined with Chelated Trace Elements in the Micro Mix for more stunning plants especially with red plants?
    2. How about algae problem? Will those mixes promote algae grow?
    3. Will PH level raise?
    Thanks.

    • @GeorgeFarmerStudios
      @GeorgeFarmerStudios  Před 7 lety

      +Dean Phan Hi Dean. I don't think more iron really helps red. I think more light is key. I don't think more nutrients will cause algae unless the plants are not healthy. Not sure about pH. Thanks :)

    I know this is a very old video but hoping you're still around. The website says 10ml per 50L, and I have 240L so I would dose pretty much 50ml a time, 3 times a week? That seems quite a lot?

    • @BlatentlyFakeName
      @BlatentlyFakeName Před 2 lety

      I'm told using a smaller dose daily is better as the plants get a more stable supply.

  • @SGScaper
    @SGScaper Před 8 lety

    The one reason I don't like EI dosing is the weekly 50% or more water changes needed, especially if the tank is above 3 feet.
