    Hello George,
Smashing good video full of very informative knowledge. I have been following your advise given in this video now for two months and my plants have exploded with lush healthy growth. By far this current tank I have is the most heavily planted tank I have ever had. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion with all of us, it is highly appreciated. And also, wanted to thank you for your service to your country. I myself am a retired military member. Served in the Army and Navy. So I can relate to your sacrifices and challenges over the years. In the Army I was in Mechanized Infantry and in the Navy I was a diesel mechanic. Again thank you for sharing with us. And may God bless you always.

Excellent and comprehensive video guide, thanks for sharing George. In my 7 month old 60p aquascape I'm currently dosing ADA Green Brighty Neutral, ADA Green Brighty Iron, and ADA Green Brighty Mineral 3 pumps of each everyday, dosing right after the lights come on. I've always had great results using ADA ferts, finding a mix that works for my scape and plants I'm using and adjusting as it ages. I have wanted to try a lot of the all in one products you talked about here but I currently live in Shanghai and don't have access to any of those. All of the all in ones I've tried here I wasn't getting great results so I moved to ADA ferts as I can get them direct from an online vendor for a pretty reasonable price.

Your Aquascaper 1200 is a joy to watch, and thank you for this very informative video. The fertilizer I use is the one you use a lot in your videos; the liquid Tropica Specialized Nutrition. I use 1 mL every two days for my Dennerle 30 L aquascape, with two 50 % water changes weekly. This tank is stocked with amano shrimp and pygmy corydoras, and is full of several species of anubias, bucephalandra (green and purple), microsorum pteropus, java moss rotala H'ra, banana plants, marsilea hirsuta, limnobium laevigatum, hygrophila siamensis 53B, and salvinia auriculata. It's like watching a jungle. I also use the same liquid fertilizer for my five liter planted vase, where I feed about 0,2 mL daily. The plants in there are hemianthus micranthemum, some rotala H'ra, and salvinia auriculata. This one gets a daily water change because it is only a few days old. My big goldfish tank is full of anubias but there is no need for fertilizers in that tank, obviously. I have watched many of your videos and picked up your recommendations to use in my own aquascape, and I am happy to report that there has never been any issues at all in the tank. Not a single algae spot anywhere to be seen. Happy days :D

I have a high energy 26 gal tank with high light and co2. It’s heavily planted with stems and various mosses ferns and Buce. I dose 4ml of Tropica Premium every day and an additional 2ml of Specialized every other day. I’ve noticed my plants are doing much better and growing well and showing their best colors. I am fairly well stocked with fish so I do a 25% water change mid week and a 75% deep clean on Sundays. I also use some floating plants

Excellent video. I’m having reasonable success in a low-tech heavily planted Oase 85 StyleLine using the German Dennerle all in one system, (V30, S7 & E15) including their Dosator , which delivers a study daily drip of the all in one fertiliser V30 via an osmotic membrane. FWIW I used only Tropica plants and followed there App’s instructions, which recommend 30% of water changes and cautious fertilisation in the first 90 days. (BTW Thanks for the disclaimer about your involvement with one of the AIO companies, as in some videos it can seem that you’re promoting this brand and approach, ahead of others. But maybe that’s my perception and not others.) Further videos on your low-tech set ups would be much appreciated.

George, thx for this video and your story :) I'm struggling with plant grow and their health right now. I'm moved from salts into all in one fertilizer and I made it wrong, trying to do lean dosing. I ended up with plants losing leaves, old leaves algae issues and such. I was actually planning to limit a lights for a couple of days and stop fertilizing at all during this period. But after watching your video I'll try the other way. I put lamps in full mode and added 5ml/50 liter dosage this morning. Let's see what will happen :)

Hi George, great video. Due the many choises, at last here in Holland, brings it back to the basics. In my main tank I use dennerle soil and a fertilizer from a local store, working great, but not to be happy about. In my two scape tanks, heavily planted with tropica plants I am testing the ADA system. Works really great, plants looks awesome. But ADA is very expensive. So when all is finished I have decided, some time ago, to switch to the tropica system, with nutrition capsules also. Thinking to add some extra Iron for the red plants. Thanks also for point ing out the D&D some time ago. Works great. Keep on the good work.

Interesting. I started two tanks up October and December 2021. I've been using lean dosing method for both tanks since startup, inert substrate with root tabs in both. I found initially growth was good, but then flat-lined as algae growth ramped up. The livestock loads of both tanks are very low so I'm not counting on any natural ferts. I do use Easy Green which does recommend dosing twice a week for Medium-light aquariums, I was dosing one pump a week however. I'm going to switch it up and try the daily ML dosing instead since I monitor the tanks daily anyway.

    Love these educational videos George!
What are your thoughts on seachem prime (and other conditioners) potentially rendering some components of the fertilizer inactive? some people suggest adding fertilizers 24 hours or so after prime.

If or if not a issue. Then dosing each day would solve it IF it is a issue.
So dosing each day have maybe then yet another beneficial upside.
And probably why the content creator do not feel or see it as a issue when he dose each day. 😍

I’m going with with Dennis Wong’s APT COMPLETE it’s the most affordable compared to other AIOs where I live and has good nutrient levels.

Hi George, thanks for the video, very informative!
Can you share what doser is that you are using, price and maybe other alternatives?

Great video and actually helped confirm my own thoughts on daily small doses rather than large ones. Currently I'm doing 5 squirts 2 times a week. I was just wondering if the tank gets to lean on ferts towards the end of my routine. I think I will start small doses daily after my next water change.

Thank you so much for this video. I have been studing water chemistry for aquarium for nearly a month and still was not sure, what to do. I understands better the mechanism between nutrients and plants etc, but still did knot know (till now) which fertilisation metod to use. I will definitly go to tropica fertilizers and with little bit of testing and case of need i will just support missing minerals or just pump more this fertilizer as you said. Thank you so much again because you calmed me down so I can focuse more for scaping which is much more fun for me than chemistry of the water :D Looking forward for your next work ;-) Good bye ;-)
