I saw Bush with Alice in Chains and Breaking Benjamin. Gavin came down off the stage and ran through the crowd while still singing and gave everyone high fives. It was amazing.
He seems like a really easy-going person.
What show were you at? I was at the one in Irvine. I wonder if he did that for every date.

Your dog is so intelligent, patient and observant. Extra precious.
Sixteen stone and razor blade suitcase are FANTASTIC albums. Stoked on this one!
Damn. I love Bush.. and Gavin seems like such a real, sincere dude.. which makes me love the band even more.... been jamming to them since I was a kid... in my 40s now and still got these albums in my car.
Same, I can't believe Gavin is almost 60...
He is in the Lolita express flight logs unfortunately. 16 stones was the first album I actually owned myself as a kid. I loved Bush...
@@Grounded_HVC the lolita express flight logs seem to be a complete psychological operation on the public and gain political standing and cause confusion and divide among people and their ideologies.
@@Grounded_HVC for real? Damn... that's disappointing.... shit.. that's the real question to ask in an interview.
@@roachagandhi complete psyop.
Shout out to Gavin.. I was at the House of Blues in New Orleans 4 or 5 years ago and went and seen them and they played Machine Head and I started moving around on the floor with my little brother nothing serious and some muscle 💪 bound roid head punched me as hard as he could in the back of my head, Gavin saw it, he stopped middle song, pointed at me got security to me to make sure I was ok, had the meat heat booted and told the crowd to buy me a drink immediately...... coolest moment ever.
Dude bush will always be my most favorite band mainly bc the fans. Thay are so so so chill just like gavin is
Sublime & their fans take that cake any day of the week..
You knew ppl would like this lol❤
I am a big fan of Bush and Gavin. Great name and this dude is a prolific song writer but doesn't get the recognition he deserves.
I dint think I've ever seen a song credit from Bush or Institute that was his name and there are so many songs.
He's made enough money to never work again but he continues to out out songs and so many are great.
Happy to see he's still doing it and enjoying it.
Huge fan of Gavin Rossdale and Bush. Saw them at Rockfest 97 when I was 18. I'm 44 now.
Always had a soft spot for Bush. Gavin has an amazing voice.
Bush was great at Red Rocks, (2000) thanks for a blast from the past!
Gavin is a legend. Been in the game a LOOOOONG time.
Bush was my first concert. Goo Goo Dolls and No Doubt opened for them. Their song, Alien, is incredible live. I saw them on Valentine's Day and the covered REM's This One Goes Out to the One I Love.... Best, cover, ever!
Love Gavin & BUSH! huge fan since I was 16 (I'm 42 now). Saw them twice in the past year, always puts on the best shows!!!
I'm the same way, and I'm 42 as well!!
Gavin is still fine as hell.
I wouldn't know how to play guitar if it weren't for this man.
please elaborate/tell the story!
Bush is still putting out great albums and tracks. The shows are electric. So glad they are still making art. Great interview.
I was hoping they would be acoustic.
Dudes only spouting propaganda. Stop with the made up stories and projecting of mental shit and drugs onto people. Ape calls the cops. "Bams out of control and crazy. He says he went to jupiter last night." Bam had just checked out of a rehab. In jupiter florida.
Gotta admit, I was gonna watch fifteen minutes of this and then move on, but I blew through the whole thing and now I might start listening to Bush again too. This was great.
🎵" I don't wanna come back down from this cloud "🎶
love Fear!
That sound owned the 90s
Man I love Gavin and Bush. Been a fan since I was 13 and I’m 37 now. I saw bush 4 times. Every time was so damn awesome. I tried so hard to be like him lol learned how to play guitar like him and try to sing like him but I couldn’t lol it was one or the other it’s tough playing guitar and sing at the same time. At least for me so I just stuck to playing guitar 🎸 lol till cancer fucked me over for years and then took my hands. The nerves in my hands got fucked up and it’s tough to finger my guitar like I use to. Sucks .
I just saw Bush perform in Michigan sep 2022 and he was performing with breaking Benjamin and Alice in chains and bush was literally the best and Gavin was interacting with the fans then he jumped off stage and ran up hill in the cheap grass seats letting all of us touch him and he kept singing while running up hill, it was killer I was tearing up artist hardly ever jump in the crowd and sing right to the fans and to pay attention of the cheap seats as well so f-ing cool!!!!! ❤
I sincerely love his passion for Animals and just nature all together.
absolutely amazing!
Precisely what do you think the word "amazing" actually means?
@@markb6679 positive vibes only
Glycerine by Bush remains one of my favourite songs of all time. Gavin of Bush really kept grunge going.
Love that song so much.
Bush, silverchair, Green day, Alice in chains
I'm very surprised that you haven't had any members of Bloodhound Gang on the podcast. I would think a lot of people would love to hear from Jimmy Pop.
I was 16 years old when I met Gavin , met him after Bush's show at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus Ohio ..it was a couple weeks after 16stones came out ...still have my autograph...I remember to this day how great he smelled and he complimented my name ..great musician
What a dude, still listen to Bush regularly, I live for the day they play 'Bubbles' again live! Btw, Gav's MTV Cribs is still the best of the lot of them if you've never watched it. Also, they filmed one of the skits in the first Jackass Movie [bottle rocket skates] about 100 metres from Gavin's front door.
oh my god Bubbles is such a great song
Bush was my first concert! Will forever love that band! 🤘🏼
I got to see them 3 times. Teenager, pandemic, and Biloxi with Breaking Benjamin. When he runs through the crowd and sings, it really makes it personal and unique.
Saw bush, pumpkins, and no doubt in 95/96
Love Gavin’s response acknowledgment and redirecting of difficult questions. .. everything zen my sir indeed. Love
This is gonna be interesting as hell.
Glad to see you doing so well, Steve-O!!
Interesting questions like "how do you fulfill your merch? Kicking it off
What a great pod!! Gavin is rad AF
Bush staked it's claim in Rock n roll ....a solid band that brought it's own unique style to the roundtable of altrock sounds that were abounding the90$
Gavin is an awesome guy. Been a fan of Bush since they first came out.
Same
The only guy who can still pull off his 90s hairdo!
So many memories connected to Bush. Great episode dude!
Gavin and members of Bush are legends and they are great live.He really gets in the crowd and with the people it's amazing.Still listen to Bush till this day
Bush was fantastic live when I saw them with Chevelle and Filter years ago. He knows how to control a crowd. Richard from Filter crowdsurfed while singing it was wild! Totally down to earth dude great chat.
Chevelle is awesome
I have seen them 7 times, and they have been great every single time.
Dude. They shred live🔥
@@kjlemovitz I've seen them a few times to always a good time they played with sevendust there another awesome band I see every year
I saw a couple shows from that tour. One of them was San Diego. Can't remember the other city
Bush! Brought Woodstock 99' back to the hippies! Excited to listen to this.
Really cool interview. I listen to the old school Bush all the time at the gym.
At 3:25 Wendy was like "how dare you stop rubbing my chest!" 😂...that was so damn cute!
Wendy is a great lil doggo
@@DLHarv ya she is! I'd love to have a dog like her!
The rapey van omg 💀 the discussion is nice and all but right on the sweet doggo. Wednesdays with Wendy? Lol id watch. 🤷🥹😹💯🥰🐾🎉🥳🐕
@@stoshbeast1 think she’s a rescue pup? Yeah when you can man get a pupper. My Marley is a frenchie Boston terrier mix. There is so many in shelters now and it is the best thing you can do for yourself. Doesn’t matter what they been through (or you) there is no love on this planet like a dog. They are so funny. Don’t know what happened to my girl but bringing them home for the first time is so funny. Marley went crazy, running around so happy to be home finally lol. Yeah I’m rich bitch gosh she’s just been such a great pal. Fricken hilarious right now and never grew up.
LOL !!! ❤
I've always liked Gavin, glad to see he's still going strong with the band
Uhhh, they tour all the time in the U.S. and just had a #1 song with More Than Machines and have another on the rock charts right now.
One time, in Pocatello I met Gavin Rossdale walking his dog before the bush show.. I’ve never been starstruck by anyone but him. I looked him in the eyes slightly whispered “Gavin Rossdale”, turned for a picture.. and then ran away. 🤦♀️
"You cant always get what you want. But you get what you need."
Excellent episode. Your show is such a great platform for seeing more and more of the heroes of my youth still alive, transformed, and evolved, when so many have died or worse!
amazing episode, loved bush since i was a kid and still love them today, gavin rules
I have 7 years sober in less than a month. This is the stuff that keeps me sober. Good on you.
Gavin is the best! Never sold out, and just like Steve-O …conquered addiction like a boss! 💪 Thank you Steve-O for another amazing guest and loved seeing you in Canberra Australia recently! 🤘🤘🤘
I remember seeing Bush live at Roskilde Festival in 1999 (or maybe it was 2000) and didn't really expect much but I got really surprised. An absolutely great live band and that gig is still in my all time top five concerts Ive been at
The chemicals between us was the song got me hooked back in high school. That intro. Bush is the best. Great pod.
Omg right!?! Like what the heck was that sound!?!? It’s still a mystery and makes me nostalgic for a time that will always be lost 😞
Great podcast! Totally cool to get a Gavin interview today!
Gavin seems like a helluva guy nice job guys this was entertaining to watch
Please interview Justin Furstenfeld from Blue October!
I had a friend that was obsessed with Bush. We went to see them about 21 years ago, and when he jumped into the crowd... I yelled to her... GO! She did. And she came back crying, I TOUCHED HIM.
I bet as a middle aged gal, she still thinks about that moment.
Really cool story😂
@@b-Rad19 Thank you, Fan.
Gavin is such a great person! Awesome guest/awesome podcast!
Thank you for this Steve-O
It's crazy Gavin said that that sound is for his sixteen-year-old son the new punk rock sound. When sixteen Stone came out I was younger than his son and that album was my sound. Sixteen Stone was the second album I ever purchased in my life. Ironically the first one was tragic kingdom
He seems like a really cool dude. I liked the first Bush album in middle school, but haven't listened to them in ages.
First band he mentions X-ray Spex,nice.R.i.p Polly Styrene.Germ free adolescents is a masterpiece
What a great dude he is!
A few years back I went to one of my favorite venues at the Palladium.. went a bunch of time so I don’t remember to who it was playing..I think it was 311 .. so while we were there they had Bush posters up for an upcoming show in a few weeks after .. so we decided to come back to see them .. one of the best shows I’ve ever seen .. they were so fun live .. Gavin is a great performer 👍🏻
Legendary singer
I saw Bush in 1996 tour with No Doubt.
It was an excellent show.
I had no idea Glycerine was the first song he ever wrote, and comedown the second! Incredible!!!
Same... Bush, no doubt, and pumpkins
@commiehunter733 I didn't get the Pumpkins, jelly!
What up Gavin, you are on my cinematography reel, first shot on the reel. Rad to shoot one of my favorite bands growing up in the 90s and 2000s. Hope to shoot you again brother.
Holy crap! Dude, I was listening to bush last week at work and went to go read Gavin’s bio online. Very interesting. I seen em play back in 97. Was an awesome show. Those guys definitely rocked the place. This is rad guys🐸🍺🔪🔥
There were few bands my fake suburban punk ass hated more in '95 than Bush, and I wish I could go back and tell that kid to lighten up. Gavin is a pretty awesome dude and their music is alright.
Loved that guy in Constantine
Oh Gavin! My Gen X heart throb! Saw y’all couple times in ATL! Thanks for the memories! Use your music on my tok and IG all the time!
I love how he describes his struggle in life as a painter, still believing he was onto something musically. Great story of a musician/songwriter. I laughed out loud when he said he was chillin' at the pub and working, telling everyone he was gonna make something happen. LOL! ;)
One of the sexiest men alive, inside & out…this was an easy click for me
This man was my first rockstar crush......Still holdin strong. lol And now, i think hes that much cooler. lolol
Can we talk about his role as: Balthazar in "Constantine" 😈.
SO GOOD. I was thinking about it the other day, in fact. What a great movie.
Finger lickin’ good
Loved it yeah
a favorite, love that genre and time for movies
Hell yeah thx for having him as a guest!
Loved this one! ❤
Gavin Rossdale's an epic musician. So much of his solo stuff and later Bush work is underrated. I met him wasted after a show about a decade ago and he was super kind and cool even though I was very sloppy. Stand up dude.
❤ Gavin
I was born in 95 and bush was the first band that was my favorite. One of my first CDs was the science of things
Your dog was loving him she was like scratch me more please 😂
finally man, you’ve had a few dud guests lately….this one wipes your recents clean…LUV YOU STEVE!!!
So I had a friend at work who I used to talk to a lot about music.. so one day he was standing there talking to someone and I walk up to them and ask “Hey do you like Bush?” But I said it kind of loud on purpose 😂 and they look at me so confused 😂and then he sees “ oooh the band right ?” 😂 and I say “ Yeah bro I’m gonna go see them this weekend” 😂 hilarious
Yes you have all been very fortunate to travel, as opposed to being held back by people and addiction. I’ve only been able to travel nationally because of the cards I’d been dealt. I’ve never even seen snow before. Good for you guys, I only want the best things for you all 🙏❤️🇦🇺
My first ever musician crush in a very long line was Gavin Rosdale! 💚🥰 Then he married my first ever girl crush Gwen Stefani and life felt so unfair lolllll
... but he would have cheated on you with the Nanny 😐
@Lauren Wolf lmaooooo yeah you're right. Dodged a bullet on that one!
great interview..gavin is so humble
LOVE everything about this interview! Gavin is brilliant, sophisticated, ever-handsome, and so cool -- the ultimate rock god & master songwriter & poet. "'Ginsberg School of Chaos & Firework Words and Firework Ideas" indeed.
I saw them at the festival in Germany he was talking about. In fact I almost got into a fight bc I didn’t wanna wait in line to get in I’d have missed Bush and it was so worth the stress. Bush was amazing live and Deftones & Mastodon! What a lineup! But yeah Gavin still sounds so good live and the energy is incredible!!
He’s got the sweetest giggle ❤ should have asked him if he was planning on acting again
One of my favorite podcasts!!
Thank you so much for this one 💙
I love how your interviews go, its more like seeing friends catch up on their lives telling crazy stories rather than an interview. You and Bert are the only two I'll watch fully through, and occasionally Rogan if its a cool topic
I'm screaming daisies, from 14 miles away! 🤘🤘🤘
I feel guilty for fast forwarding through your ads, steve... but the guilt doesn't stop me. 😂 great video, great interview wish you all the best!
Gavin has always been a true rocker. Love his no bullshit attitude!✌
wow awesome i named my son after him . ive always loved bush and 90s music
Love your work Steve o, Im so glad that the awesome guy I saw performing on a cruise liner so long ago has made the impact on so many including myself. God bless you and yours from West TN....if your puzzled Johnny can explain TN natives thing with our grand divisions.
loved the podcast! love BUSH!! 🤘🏼
Just saw Bush on Mothers Day! Probably my 5th time seeing them. Show was amazing!
Xanax and lorazepam were hands down the worst to detox from. Opiates weren’t as bad because they give me something for the withdrawals. I tried taking myself off benzos at home. I was having seizures and finally went into cardiac arrest on the kitchen floor.
Legend. Much respect to Gavin.
When my oldest daughter was a teenager she was obsessed with Gavin! She had wall to wall posters of him on her bedroom walls. It was a toss up between him and The Backstreet Boys. Lol I did like to listen to the music of Bush though. Thanks Steve for having all these wonderful guests on your podcast ❤
Gavin is great, one of the best episodes
Awesome! Now, my favorite episode! 😊
Why have i never heard of Bush? Damn i love those tunes. Looking forward to watching this for sure! :)
Can't wait for you in Glasgow!!! ❤
Bush was definitely the first band to promote a website i ever saw. It was on the ass of their tshirts back for that first album.
