FRED ARMISEN?! I mean SNL, Portlandia, Documentary now, accomplished musician. So freaking awsome.
IKR!! I literally have the song from Portlandia they did "Dream of the 90's" on my playlist. I also watched EUROTRIP again months ago and can never forget "MISCOOZIE"
This is one of the better conversations I can remember on wild ride.
Damn right
@@shortsbytommy he's talking to people he wants to talk to, man! Just sit back, listen close to the wisdom they're speaking, and enjoy. Maybe these latest eps aren't your taste, and that's okay, but please stick around for one you would like. It'll come along! Be well and have a great night or else 😴🐢⁉️👨❤️👨🤤
@@shortsbytommy Don't even worry, I get it. There were a few I just didn't connect with either. I typically listen to this podcast while I get other things done, so I'm used to some of the conversations being not my thing. We're different people, so our tolerances for they are different, and I respect the hell outta that.
LOVE FRED! I literally have the song from Portlandia they did "Dream of the 90's" on my playlist. I also watched EUROTRIP again months ago and can never forget his character: "MISCOOZIE"
I saw Trench Mouth with Fugazi in Detroit around the 90’s. I love you Fred!
Just gonna say the squatty potty ad hit at the exact right moment 😮
I was waiting for a connecting flight in jfk, Fred Armisen sat quietly across from me reading. I was on the phone with my brother and said I was going to say hello, my brother said leave that man alone. I laughed and just let him chill. I regret not congratulating him on season one of Portlandia because I knew it was gonna be huge. Comedic genius. The outakes from the doorman skit with Hader are proof.
Fred’s energy is just infectious in the best way. He’s so chill and unhurried in his demeanor and it’s great. This episode could have been much longer and easily still held my attention thoroughly. Yeah dudes!
I'd say PORTLANDIA is my "comfort series" that shit changed my life and inspired me in so many ways, honestly. I think it's fair to recognize the power even a silly comedy show can have on people.
Yessss
Fred Armisen is my guy (In Nance's voice)..
Ita comfort food. I'll have that playing in the background all the time. It's like Seinfeld or whatever comfort shows people put on whether they're paying attention or not. Soothing.
I loved the episode where they met Glenn Danzig, and he talked them into wearing summer gear. "Billabong."
"Billabong?"
"It's a little fratty."
😂
LOVE FRED! I literally have the song from Portlandia they did "Dream of the 90's" on my playlist. I also watched EUROTRIP again months ago and can never forget his character: "MISCOOZIE"
Fred Armisen as the queen of England is a top 5 snl character of all time for me.
I’m always excited when Steve O has someone on that I like and respect! I love Fred Armisen! This is a good one!
@@TheBiggestBlackHawk I have lost some respect for him. Some of the people he has on and are friends with are not people I think should be celebrated or given a platform such as Mike Tyson a convicted rapist or other men who have assaulted their wives such as Tommy Lee. I notice he has had some of those reality show house wives on. I can’t stand those people. I can’t watch that!
The top-5 punk rock albums question was fantastic. Nobody's going to have anything in common on that one and it opens the conversation up into a thousand kaleidescoping directions.
As a venezuelan, great to see two venezuelan related stars I admire!
I had no idea he is Venezuelan eso es genial 🇻🇪
Can confirm, you're way way better at not interrupting people anymore, Steveo.
I haven't watched a video of his in awhile, this comment gives me hope!
It’s night and day between his first few podcasts and now. It was hard watching them before because he was such an attention whore lol
Fred really does seem like such a pleasant human being. Like he would get along with just about anyone. Portlandia will always have a special place in my heart.
Fred Armisen is lovely. And this was a great interview, I’m so glad to discover your channel after watching JA in my early 20s. Great to know you’re doing stand up!
10:30 I moved to Portland 9 months ago, and the past 1.5 years I've been on average 8 flights a month for work in just about every state in the country including Alaska and Hawaii (and Canada), driven 10's of thousands of miles (and some kilometers) between these flights including driving from Florida to Oregon when I moved, and I just want to say that Portland is honestly not any worse than most "big" cities, unfortunately. Portland is an easy punching bag but the drug/mental health/homeless crisis is far beyond if drugs are legal or not. In that world the law isn't as important, and depending on what city things are ran on the street in a mind-blowingly messed up way. I personally know people in multiple cities who have TRIED to go to jail in an attempt to detox and/or not freeze to death, but they won't even arrest them due to multiple factors, even if they had a warrant. Also, most of the reservation villages I've been to, as beautiful as their land can be, seem to be seriously boned. It sucks because I'm pretty sure we have the natural resources for everyone to feast if we wanted, I seent them. Oregon is incredibly dope though, rock n roll smoke a bowl
Love Fred Armisen. Portlandia is one of my favourite sketch comedy shows. It's so funny, but also comforting and sweet. I really enjoyed this discussion.
I usually fast forward through "paid commentary" but actually enjoy watching it on Steve-O's Wild Ride. Steve-O is a master of the segue. From deep thoughts with the guest to having a COMPLETE bowel movement thanks to Squattie Potty. Only Steve-O can pull it off without seeming fake. Beyond that, I dig the whole show, including Scott, Vinny and the occasional visit from Paul.
We take great pride in our ad break transitions thank you
as a native spanish speaker, and someone who traveled all over south america, Fred's accents are very spot on!
I really enjoyed this episode. I LOVE Fred Armisen so I knew I'd like this one but I was really happy to see Steveo sort of back off and let Fred tell his stories and speak. Steveo has a tendency to do the interview for the guests but this one was fantastic.
Steve-O is in my top 5 favorite content creators 💪 . Appreciate all the hours of intertainment while im skatin, workin, joggin , cookin, and just plain livin'
Ik these are very much engaging and yet dissociative in the right context. Music is words we know so well and cant wait to hear.
Hell yeah man, I agree!
Fred, you bring the joy. Thank you so much!
Fred is one of my favorite people of ALL time! ANYTHING he does is absolutely Hilarious!!!!
Fred’s best character from SNL is when he would play the cigarette smoking girlfriend the bf would bring home
Fred is awesome! He adds so much to any scene he's in, no matter how much or little he says.
I started watching Portlandia AS the hipsters the show was making fun of. Then as I matured I realized that me and my friends were these characters. My favorite sketch is Fred and Carrie at some show and they keep trying to one up each other asking, "Do you know so and so?" "Yeah! Do you know such and such?" As a teenager going to metal and hardcore shows it was so real.
Fred Armisen?! Nice job!! Why Steve-O works is because his guests truly respect him, same with Mike Tyson and his show Hotboxin, all these guests were in awe during their career and can't wait to speak to them even more than themselves being interviewed.
I became obsessed with Fred from Last Man On Earth. Nobody ever talks about that show, but I loved it.
This show is how I REALLY get to know who these celebs are as people and I appreciate just how diverse the guest list has been, how real and raw and compassionate the dialogues are just in terms of touching on some real human vulnerabilities and relatable struggles. I feel like this kind of content and platform is fantastic for folks to just really open up.
Fred Armisen! Wowwww nice job getting him on guys. He’s awesome and your crew is as well. YEAH DUDE!!
Fred is a awesome dude. I saw his special in Washington DC when it was the comedy show for musicians. Very funny. He also at the end of the show raised the lights and took everyone's questions they had for him till no one had anymore and I felt that was pretty unique for a comedy. Very genuine dude. Love the podcast keep it up.
Bad Brains are one of the greatest bands ever. Not just in punk rock. Ever.
Legendary dude! I seen em, awesome show. I against I!🔥
@@johnnyharperscoutstable5386 Hell yeah. I wish I got to see them back in the day. But I did see them in 2017 at Riot Fest. HR obviously wasn't doing backflips or screaming, but they still tore it up. Randy Blythe came out and sang a few songs with the band. It was sick.
Never heard them. Is that how good they are?
Better than Santa clause
Steve-O AND Fred Armisen lived in Brazil? That's so awesome!!!! I hope Steve-O knows that Rio would love to have him here again!!! Jackass was huuuuge here, he would have a blast!!!! Fred, of course, is also welcome!!!!
Fred is so great. Awesome episode guys.
Love you Steve-O, you do better than what most of the talk show hosts do yet they make far more than what they deserve.
Fred’s such a delight. Great episode!
Fred's cameo on Barry was hilarious!
Stevo may not know it but he does the best robert kennedy jr impersonation.
This was so great to watch, thank you! Fred’s such a calm, chill, quietly intelligent guy - Documentary Now is one of the greatest things ever, love him as Uncle Fester too in Wednesday
Lets get into it!!
Dude I watched every “Documentary Now” episode and tried to watch the original documentaries that they were remaking and reenacting. Haha.
Damn Steve coming with the 🔥 guests this week !!! Thanks
🤘🏻🤘🏻
Fred was great. Thanks for the interview.
Fred is the man. Love that human.
Wow two of my favorite funny guys IN ONE PODCAST, YES PLEASE!!!! Music too loud Jail, Over cook fish Jail, Under cook chicken Jail.
Fred Armisen is an artistic genius
Documentary Now opened my eyes to Fred. Hilarious but also very talented! He seems really kind as well.
FANTASTIC guest pull bro!....Armisen is unreal funny
Great Episode and great guests in general lately. It got me thinking about my top 5... Bad Brains - Rock for Light is my #1 punk rock album of all time. After that Bad Religion - How could Hell be any worse, The Decendents- Milo goes to Collage, Minor Threat-self titled and The Queers Don't back Down. Keep them coming boys!!!!
Rancid... And Out Come the Wolves is my favorite 90s punk album.
Awesome show Steve and crew, love Fred and now you gotta get Carrie Brownstein on to complete the Portlandia circle. Lot's of love from Vancouver Island. Next tour come out here for another show and I'll take you and the crew out for real cold water cowboy surfing in the PNW, just reach out and it's done. Cheers bro 🤙
Great conversation between lovely people.

Best, most unassuming guest 😍👏

Hi Steve love you man :) I wear the shirt you gave out for free almost every other day
Great ep! We love Fred Armisen
Steve-O you're great at conversation, interviewing and comedy, but I think it's great how hard you are on yourself sometimes. hahaha keep up the great work buddy
This was a great episode! I love getting two episodes a week from you guys. This one was so cool because it seemed like everyone was really excited to have Fred on and to have the opportunity to pick his brain about some things!
Forget Benny Blanco, Fred is now the best guest in a long time
I love how chill Fred is. Great show.
SOLID punk album list ❤
🤘🏻
Love him in everything! Ppl need to watch Espooky's Thank you for providing this conversation.❤

What an awesome guest. I don't even watch podcasts but i'll alwyas watch this one
Hell yeah thank you!!
Man, I didn't expect these three to talk about bands forever. I'm digging it.
14:20 Steve's transitions to advertisement is freakin' hilarious))))
Drugs are illegal in the Netherlands, its a misconception that weed is completely legal. Steve-o's enthusiasm about Jonestown lmao
😮😮😮 -- butt typed comment but apparently my butt is surprised by this comment. Next time I shit myself, I’m going to holla at you to tell my ass the busyness 😂
Portugal is where its legal.
Is a law really a law when there's official rules about when it is unenforced & when operating licenses are knowingly granted to technically illegal businesses?
Right on. Its probably like in Forest grove, OG. Legal to buy.
You can't puff it in public. It's like liqra I believe. You can buy a bottle but if ur drinking rum in public from the bottle you'll get in some crud.
Love the Podcast Steve-O!! You have such an eclectic group of people on and its extremely entertaining. You have created an amazing space for these people to feel comfortable and talk like they are just having a normal conversation without cameras. Keep it up!!!! Freaking love Portlandia. Fred Armisen makes me laugh with 0 effort, he's funny just siting still.
Bad Brains is amazing I live DK but damn Bad Brains does deserve an award for bravery and breaking through in a tough manner. Then going all relaxed then doing flips amd ripping...... man what a great conversation.....
That was such a chill nice ep. Good way to finish work day!
LOVE FRED! I literally have the song from Portlandia they did "Dream of the 90's" on my playlist. I also watched EUROTRIP again months ago and can never forget his character: "MISCOOZIE"
I used to live in portland, Oregon and was in love with portlandia/twin peaks as a NYer i learned to love a place like portland, Oregon at a certain time period in my life and had a love for it at one point and still in a lush green place now in,Huntsville.
Wow, I’m impressed you got Fred Armisen!
Dynamic! Yeah bro
Love Fred's Cuban drummers resigned catchphrase.."Aye... DIos mio!!" funnier every time he does it...
I love you so muchhhhhh Fred!!!!!! I’m so happy you are producing this fool such an awesome show! Thanks!!!
The Clash - Sandinista
Sleater kinny - take me out
Husker Du - New day rising
Bad brains - I against I
The Damned - Black album
Gorlla Biscuits - hold your ground/Big mouth
Fugazi - 13 songs
Can you imagine Steve hosting SNL. You know some classic skits would come out of that. Like a career day skit, or a scared straight skit!
@Scott, I think the beauty of Red Dead is actually taking your time to enjoy the sights. Its very slow compared to CoD, but its meant to be played like you're in a living, breathing world. Also, it gets REALLY good after the first 3 hours or so. You become wanted in pretty much the whole country and the action ramps up.
Stevo is the fucking man! My literal hero. Not many famous people out there that you can actually look up to anymore. Glad you found sobriety brother and keep working on it and yourself. The only thing I would say is, dont be so hard on yourself. Cuz your killing it brother. Hope to get a chance to see your stand up sometime soon. Thank you for the content
Loved you two talking and praising bad brains. And steve-o shouting out Gorilla Biscuits. I remember a yearbook pic of his wearing a GB shirt.
Fred Armisen???
AY, DIO MIO !!!
22:40 "Primadonna......" Fred is like "sure bud" lol
Bad Brains fully deserve a Nobel Peace Prize. That might be the coolest thing ever said
Gotta say that your guest lineup top to bottom is always very intriguing to me. Best podcast guests in the game!
The Spanish impressions were legit!
🔥🔥
Fred is such a wildly talented and funny actor. Portlandia is one of the best thingBs ever. The lesbian bookstore chicks are my favorite😂.
Getting much better at interviewing Steve
Great podcast!!! I love the great variety of guests you guys have on, from musicians to actors, to family members, 10/10 would recommend! Always enjoyable
Ahhhhh Fred❤❤❤❤❤
Fist Fight! Fist Fight! Fist Fight in the Parking Lot! - This man's love for punk makes me fuzzy inside
This was an awesome guest! I love the 2 and week!
Hell yeah dude!!!!
Fred's reaction to Steve-O using paralyzing drugs for his stunts was funny. 😂
No clue who this was at but now I’m a huge fan of this guy. Punk as f
Another great one- Fred Armisen is a legend
Such a soft spoken man. Ive always enjoyed his hilarity, but i can see that it might be annoying to him to perform on my command. So cool Fred is a punk guy. Thats my shit.
Great episode. Fred is a very interesting guy and comes across as easy to relate to
Mad respect to Fred for listing Sandinista as the best punk album OAT, dude knows music
Dude LOVE that you had Fred Armisen on here!
