  • This video is a quick view of my appt. with my oncologist on Dec. 12, 2019. In this video he discussed my outcome of my most recent ct-scan. Although I did not show this part. For those who don't know, it showed that my current tumors grew, and a number of new ones. Which is why I stopped the Doxil. He was supposed to get info about a trial. Which is addressed in this video. It also discusses his view of treatment from this point on, and what chemo he is going to try me on. Warning...Not good!
This channel is about the life of me and my 3 children. With our Lord leading the way, we support each other, as we fight our battles and celebrate the our victory, in a difficult world where me, a single mother who is in active treatment for not only 1, but 2 terminal (Metastatic, Stage 4) cancers. I make videos about my cancer journey, personal trials, and some fun videos, and videos with my kids. Something to do to take my mind off of the cancer.
To learn more about my cancer history, please continue to read the following...
I was originally diagnosed back in 2010, with stage 3b ER/PR positive, HER2 neg Breast cancer in my left breast. After about 2 1/2 of active treatment, I went back to full time work, with scans and dr visits every 3 months. From this time, till 2015, I was closely watched by my treatment team, and I had no KNOWN, sign of Cancer.
However, by the middle of 2015, my blood levels stopped getting better, & started to go in the other direction. I also kept getting sick, to the point were it was greatly effecting my ability to work. So in October 2015, my boss put me on medical leave. I then got sicker, I kept getting misdiagnosed till Jan 2016.
In Feb 2016, I was diagnosed with a rare terminal melanoma. with no skin involvement. After chemo failed, a combo immunotherapy treatment was approved. I had infusions every other week, which kept me stable till Feb 2018. My normal 3 month scan showed that I had 2 new small nodules in my lungs. This, they believed, was my Melanoma starting to grow again. But they decided to continue with treatment, and repeat scan in 3 months. However, a week after my Feb 2018 scan, my daughter noticed a new lump on my chest wall. It kept getting bigger. So a scan was ordered for the last week of March. This scan discovered a new chest wall tumor, plus a few other tumors. After a biopsy, they diagnosed me with a new, (possibly mutated) form of Breast Cancer. This time I was diagnosed with Metastatic (terminal) Triple Negative Breast cancer. Although my doctor insists that it is a totally different Breast Cancer from the first breast cancer, that was ER/PR pos, HER2 Neg. Because this one was ER/PR neg, and HER2 neg, aka Triple Negative.
From that point on, I have been on a number of different oral, and IV chemo's and I even had 2 different types of Radiotherapy for pain on that tumor, and some under my arm, for pain, in Nov 2018. Thank God this did shrink the tumors a bit. However, the chest wall tumor got really infected, and is now a painful, messy stinky ulcerating cancer wound, with a bunch of small tumors surrounding it. Many of these chemo's did slow down the growth of my cancer for a bit. But it always started to grow again. And I now have lots of permanent side effects from them. I just stopped Doxil ( Doxorubicin Liposomal) or "The Red Devil", almost 2 months ago, do to the possible new tumors. Thank God, that chemo didn't cause hair loss though. (Gotta take joy in the positives, no matter how small. Right?) Anyway, about a month before that, I noticed more tumor growth on my chest wall, and in my right arm nodes. So after a ct-scan confirmed this to be more cancerous growths, I was taken off this chemo, and now waiting to hear if I got into another clinical study, for Stage 4 triple negative, but Androgen positive. If not, I will start another chemo. In the meantime, I have been trying to get my ulcerating cancer wound, (my formerly radiated chest wall tumor), to heal, and praying that God helps me see just what I need to be doing, as far as treatment goes.
I know that this was a quick explanation of my cancer story thus far. If you would like a more detailed description, I have made 2 videos about my story. Please feel free to watch them. I am also ok with answering any questions. So feel free to ask.

Thank you. It's not easy to be emotional here on CZcams. Many have said that this is what they want. And I did say that i would be honest about everything. And unfortunately, that includes the the negative emotions. This has kept me from doing a number of videos, including one that I am working on right now. I am doing one about how my family, and those close to me, feel about my cancer. And one about the differences of having cancer being single vs. while in a relationship, including some of my friends also in this situation. Both of these video's have been really emotionally difficult. Also, I am not sure if I will get a chance to put up a video about this, before Christmas but, will probably just mention it in my comments below. -- I was just informed that as of now, I do not qualify for the clinical trial that the doctor mentioned, at the end of this video. So I will have to start chemo Halaven tomorrow. This is one of the chemo's that don't have much hope in, because I have already been on one, just like it. So pray it at least works for a bit of time. And pray that I am not too sick for Christmas & Christmas Eve. Hope you have a good Christmas too! Or whatever you celebrate.

I've always admired your strength, as well as your honesty, the good and the bad. You're very candid and offer a tremendous amount of insight into what its like to have to endure such a horrible disease, while dealing with other situations life can throw us into. I really hope and pray that the new chemo has a good outcome and that you get to enjoy your Christmas.

Hi Tammy. Ive been following your journey for a while and I must say that you are truly a strong woman. Never give up or lose hope! I really encourage you to get a second and even a third opinion if needed cuz sometimes doctors are not always updated with the latest clinical trials.

I've also heard of it. I wouldn't go out of my way to try it at the beginning of this disease, but when all else fails, I would try anyting.
