It’s getting harder and harder to find a good deal but occasionally they come around if you’re willing to sacrifice things like a strap

Thank you I may eventually do that! Although I feel like a new strap on a vintage bag may not look as good 🤔 I’ve debated buying a vintage strap too but haven’t gone through with it yet lol
I have a vintage kelly too and I love it so much. It’s also older than me and for how good it looks it a testament to Hermes. I use a maitai organizer I like it cuz it’s linen and not felt

I prefer buying older Hermes bags compared to buying the crazy marked up resale prices of the brand new ones. I’ll end up wearing and scratching them anyways😂

Do you mind us telling at what price point is best for this bag? Also, does any vintage kellys come with the original strap?
It varies so much by the current market, condition, size, country it’s located, and if it comes with anything such as a strap so it’s really hard to say. The old versions do have straps but most don’t actually still have them to come with and also the attachment isn’t the same as the newer ones.

Beautiful bag! I’m also looking at buying from a Japanese reseller. Did you run into any trouble with customs?(tax etc). Thanks! My seller and I are both worried about the item getting blocked by the custom :/
With this specific bag I was lucky and didn’t, but with some Chanel bags they dis get held at customs and what happened was I had to pay DHL the customs charge so they could get it released and then receive it. It is hit or miss it seems, but it does seem like it’s getting more common to be charged customs on the higher value bags unfortunately!
@@modeetchien can I ask you if you recall what was custom duty rate you paid DHL for the bags? For example , 3% or 8%?

Thank you! Honestly I feel bad sharing because the deal was so once in a lifetime bananas because of the beginning of the pandemic it’s not realistic for the current market but I paid about $3500 with duties 🙊

Hi! Such a beauty. Did you find it to be dry due to its age?
A tad on some of the parts, but honestly overall it was still in great condition! I used some leather lotion on it and that helped!

may I know if you need to pay a import tax for this?
Yes if you buy out of the country you are subject to import taxes when goods are over a certain amount like anything of value over $600 I believe in the US
