I'm working on a 2018 Chev Equinox with the codes P12A6 and U18A2. When I pull the fuel pump Driver Control Module enables Circuit Performance. The Module wiring clip was full of water. The hot terminal and the ground terminal were in line with each other. the water in the clip made a short from the hot terminal to the Ground terminal, melting the hot terminal. The hot terminal was melted down to the base of the fuel pump driver control module. There is a cover on the body cover that has 2 vents in the cover for air, but there is one vent that is right where the module is located that when you are driving in the rain the front tires are throwing water right back into that vent opening. There was no seal or dielectric grease on any of the terminals. Every terminal in the clip is rusted. The vehicle has 45,000 miles on the vehicle. I contracted GM on the problem and hope they will solve the problem and stop the water from getting into the Module.

Have you ever seen one of these modules cause drivability issus and set a P0628 fuel pump low voltage code? I've been chasing this issue for days on my daily driver that is now parked. Also, the inside and outside lights flicker while its running. Originally I thought I had a failing alternator so I replaced it. That did not fix my issue. Then I went through and cleaned all of my grounds since I live in the rust belt and the frame is crusty. Still no change... I'm sort of lost at this point and I would be grateful for any helpful suggestions. This is on a 2012 Sierra 2500HD with the 6.0 gas engine.

Runs and drives fine, I checked the fuel pump relay control circuit for continuity from the ECU to FSCM, and no issues there. I'm getting 11v on pin 13 of the FSCM connector so obviously, it's not low. But I didn't check the tab on the pin terminal you mention so that's next. Other than that I have no idea what it could be other than the FSCM reporting erroneous errors.

Can the bad FSCM work sometimes? I recently had issue with mine, replaced pump and worked for about 2 weeks. Then the truck died on me and had it towed home. Same codes as when pump went out but this time after removing fuse and relay (underhood), disconnecting battery and even unplugging and plugging back in module, it fired right up. Can scan tool tell you if there is an issue even if its running? A few years ago the harness by the front driveshaft had got caught and cut about 3 wires which I repaired (cut and soldered back) and has worked fine. But this last time, I just moved the wire checking if maybe it had come in contact again with the driveshaft but was not the case.
I ordered a replacement FSCM and will have it programmed by a local tech this week but I'm concerned that maybe it may not be the FSCM and maybe related to wiring. Any thoughts?

I have a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado with fuel pump problems. My truck died on me last week and thought it was a bad pump because I got codes PO230 (Fuel Pump Primary Circuit), U0109 (Lost Communication w/ Fuel Pump) so I replaced it. I finished installing it, turn the key over and hear the priming of the pump and started right up. 3 days later, driving and it dies on me and gives me the same codes. I suspect bad FSCM, but not positive. I check what I have learned from this video soon, but now when I turn my key on, I no longer hear the priming of the pump that you typically hear for about 3 seconds when you first turn your key over. I just hear a clicking on and off. Any ideas?
