Walked the RRW this year in April/May. Wonderful experience to see the Highlands in spring time (compared to autumn on my West Highland Way trip last year). Really enjoyed both of my times in Scotland hiking through the Highlands and visit afterwards Glasgow and Edinburgh. With Robert Burns I can say, "my heart's in the Highlands". Thanks for sharing your video. Greetings from Poland.
My wife's siblings and I do a hike, visit, tour somewhere often. Next year we are doing the Rob Roy. Watchout for 10 load Americans. Such beautiful country. I love the country side of the UK. We did the Dingle Peninsula in Ireland a few years ago. Last spring we did the Malerweg in Germany. Hiking, walking the countryside of God's kingdom is but a step away from heaven...and you live just a few steps away from there.
Well done pal, good trail video 👍 Just finished the RRW myself, along with my own videos.
Dunno how I missed this when you first posted it. Anyway, just sat down with a cup of tea to watch your film. 👍🏼😁
Brilliant
South of Loch Tay is a pain for camping , were just there last night but lots of "no camping" signs even though just mostly empty fields with the odd sheep. We just went down till out if sight of the road about a mile east of the hotel.
Fantastic Eddy, love every video you put out there buddy. The Rob Roy way looks a cracking walk, be great to see you out with Mark and Sinclair and the rest off the gang again, take care Eddy and thanks for keeping this bus driver entertained with your vids. Appreciated a lot. 👍
I'll try Billy.
Really useful film. I’m planning on bikepacking the RRW later this month. Thanks for sharing.
Enjoyed this bro. Some lovely landscape views up your way. Safe travels
Thanks Ken. ATB
That was a very enjoyable adventure you took us on Eddie.I`m glad that the weather improved for you .A great start to the year for you , well done sir.. ATB
Thanks Graeme have a great year.
watched this in one go Eddie and i thoroughly enjoyed this.we ate in the carpark at Callender from the chip shop.I didn't know it was called a fish supper and the big girl who served me told me that the English should do their homework ha ha! some lovely viewppoints, especially the one with the waterfall.Compared to WHW,if this were a summit climb to Ben Nevis, this would be the arete route and the other being the tourist path.great content and great to watch before I head off to work.see ya for the next one,
Thanks Ken you cannie whack a fish supper lol. It was fritters, can of irn bru and a wagon wheel ( big in them days) when I went swimming as a youngster. ATB
Thinking about doing this trail this year. Looking forward to watching this 💗🥾
Hope you do it. ATB

Good job wi the video despite the technical issues. Enjoyable watch. ATB.
Thanks, yes camera water resistant but it was raining all day. ATB
Wonderful viewing Eddie. 😀
Thanks ATB.
Enjoyable video Eddie. Do you remember the 7 P's mate ? I think mateys Planning and Preparation wasn't too good and therefore his mindset buckled and he jacked, gave up. Shame about the weather but crack on. Rob Roy's AO was around Glen Gyle, Craig Rostan, Inversnaid, Ben Lomond, Loch Arklet, Loch Katrine and surrounding areas, remains of one of his actual houses somewhere between the foot of Ben Lomond and Loch Lomond. Was that an old Clan burial ground at the Falls of Dochart ??
Jay wasn't prepared.... I couldn't believe he didn't have a waterproof jacket and had to buy that £2 yellow sheet that disintegrated within an hour.
The correct mindset is the best quality I think, alot of people aren't used too or willing to put up with some discomfort.
Thats a burial ground I remember that but had to check up on who's. Its Clan Macnab they were the dominant Clan in Killin. ATB.
P. S. hopefully get the full WHW and Glen Affric way done this year.
@@ScotsWildcamper WHAT !!! The lad knew he was walking that route and didn't have any rain gear 🤣😂 the fool, Proper Planning and Preparation Prevents ....... Clan McNab, cheers mate, I do love your old Clan ways of life before it all went tits up. Look forward to the WHW vid Eddie, atvb to you mate.
Nice one.
I did a charity walk ,30 miler round trip to that doonan center at aberfoyle. the worst part was where we had to follow the rob roy way just above aberfoyle. Almost the end. so boggy and it was like they put down random rocks and trip hazards. I would love to follow your steps and do the full route
Good on doing the charity walk. I would recommend it but maybe better to organise accommodation. ATB
Not been all the way yet
You may need to start to think about getting a new camera. Gopro 10.
Got new cameras since then. ATB.
