Good stuff Eddie, another good one mate. The wind has been murder so far this year , totally agree its alright now and again but i'm like yourself i like to get out and about rather than stuck in the tent. Anyway looked like a rough walk up to the Loch in that weather but fair play guys ..Nice one Eddie , hopefully catch up soon ..cheers Stevie

That was a wild one Eddie, high winds and hail like needles in your face and eyes! Some fantastic scenery though and I enjoyed the whisky tasting. I have a bottle of The Glenlivet Nadurra single malt, 16 year old natural cask strength and non-chill filtered, it was bottled 12/14 batch 1214E and is 60.2%! The meds I am on my doctor says not to drink any alcohol so I will save it for something special. Sinclair's music was perfect where you used it, really added something special to the scene! I hope you get better weather for the next one for you have suffered enough bad weather for a while. Wonderful to see the three of you out! Sincerely, Ossie
Hi Ossie yes it's been storm like winds for all my recent trips but that was the wildest yet.
It was Sinclair who got me into single malts, before that I had only tried the cheap whisky ( firewater really) and I didn't like it.
I'm grateful to have Sinclairs music so no copyright issues. It's sunny and dry today and the forecast is saying decent weather for a few days. I'm doing a local camp tomorrow so maybe be able to sit out abit with a malt. ATB to you and you's.

Brilliant scenery Eddie, that's the weather conditions that test stamina, skills, clothing and equipment mate, love it. I used to get to the Welsh mountains in mid January because of similar conditions, that's when I'm in my element, but the right clothing is essential or a miserable time can be had, not done that for a good few years now, severe foot injury and prolonged recovery put an end to it all, bugga. Cheer's mate and all the best to you.
Sorry to hear that Paul I'm wondering when my kness will give up. As I've said many times I like abit of rough weather for reasons you mentioned but not every trip. It was fantastic just a pity it wasn't as snowy as it should be. I enjoyed my 3 Wales trips although the weather wasn't great on all 3. ATB

It is beautiful but very harsh at times. Got some other areas next and the WHW but should get back to the Cairngorms this year. ATB

Cracking video Eddie…..I have given Einich two rattles once on foot in winter and stopped just after the river crossing….next time was summer on the bike and had lunch at the loch….it’s a slog on foot to be sure so excellent effort given the conditions you guys.

There was a group of about 10 behind us and they turned back , I would say they were 40/50 minutes from the Loch. If I go back I know the path by the river is much shorter and easier but you miss the dramatic views. I could possibly solo there and get the train to Aviemore. ATB
It has been relentless this wind Eddie , at least you got a good hike in although the conditions were very testing . I’m out Tuesday and the forecast has changed for Wednesday morn with 40 mph gusts so guess I will be looking for a low level camp 😂 atb Dave
