    I bought Fz-16 version 2.0 on 16th August 2014. I tested my top speed in October it was 118 kmph. But after seasoning my bike a week ago I was rechecking my bike's top speed now it has increased like this...
    On Doubles (Rider + 1)= 113 kmph
    On singes (Only Rider)= 125 kmph
    One of my closest friends have got Gixxer & after riding both the bikes I'd say,Gixxer is powerful but I feel in the turns & corners, my bike is on a different level.

    • @MotorBeam
      @MotorBeam  Před 9 lety +2

      The top speed has increased after service and run-in, we will also try to check it on a bike which has done more kms.
      The FZ V2 tops out early and one needs a big stretch to get to the top speed. That said, there is also some speedo-error.
      The Yamaha FZ is still the best in dynamics but the Gixxer is also quite accomplished.
      What mileage are you getting?

    • @gouravv3
      @gouravv3 Před 9 lety +1

      MotorBeam It depends how i ride. I mean once i had hurry big time.. like i covered around 19kms (or may be a more) in 14 minutes. In that case i get around 30.. but normally its efficient. It gives 37 to 39. :) I'm happy with that.

    • @MotorBeam
      @MotorBeam  Před 9 lety +2

    Talking about Gixer sf , i personally feel that gixer naked version is better than gixer sf as it cost Rs.14000/- more....if it met with a crash it will be costlier , as there is no provision for leg guard ...it may be look more sportier becoz of full fairing as people are crazy for full fairing body ....but at the end of the day, its better to buy naked version of Gixer.....

    definitely unicorn 160 is my pick among the three. I will tell you why. Its the fastest bike among the three. Its the Quickest bike among the three. Yet, its the best when it comes to mileage too. That just shows how advanced is the Honda technology. And please, i don't think unicorn 160 is any bad at style!!! It looks so cool to me. Ofcourse it is very slightly a bit commuterish with design like there is no split seats and all, but it is still a handsome bike in its way. But that is only because Honda focused on the ride comfort for a long journey along with the power of a sporty bike. If the performance is highest among the three, there is no point in calling it a commuter. And definitely [MoreRideComfort+Power] is better than [LessRideComfort+Power]..!! Isn't it? And if you want a bike that is "built to last" then Honda is always my only choice.

    • @MotorBeam
      @MotorBeam  Před 9 lety +6

      Honda is the fastest because it has the smallest tyres of the trio and witll smaller tyres, there is less contact patch resulting in low rolling resistance and faster acceleration.

      top speed, acceleration, mileage, refinement are the area where honda unicorn 160 beats gixxer. It is a better overall package than gixxer. Ofcourse gixxer looks more sporty from the side view, but thats not the only factor everyone goes for. unicorn 160 looks aggressive too. And personally i dont like the headlamp design of gixxer at all. Very ordinary unattractive for rest of the bike. But unicorn 160 is a no-nonsense bike and it is made like that. A bike that gives the performance of a sporty bike and comfort of a commuter. Clear winner here.

    • @MotorBeam
      @MotorBeam  Před 9 lety +1

      cool new world we never said Unicorn is not a good bike, it is but for the most of us, the Gixxer is the best because it has the best mix of the Unicorn 160 and FZ at an attractive price.

    • @coolnewworld1801
      @coolnewworld1801 Před 9 lety +1

      MotorBeam Ya :) the review was unbiased and well said considering all factors. But what I meant was, the trust that we have with the Honda brand is just immense. And Its just i dont find anything particularly that big in Gixxer which sets it apart from unicorn that could make me go for this relatively new contender against the proven Honda unicorn. Even the first gen unicorn was a breeze to drive. The way it builds up power is amazing. And as you said in the review, if the new unicorn is much better than the old, then there is no turning back from this bike. It just feels like a proven bike.

    • @MotorBeam
      @MotorBeam  Před 9 lety +1

      cool new world proven bike yes but do you think Suzuki and Yamaha need to prove anything, they are known for offering highly reliable products the world-over. If you were talking about a non-Japanese bike, the argument would hold true. Also the FZ has been on sale since a long time and has proven itself, it sells more than all Honda 150cc bikes combined.

    Julius Nadar, Its only a prejudice. It was OK in case of 1st or 2nd gen Unicorn. Honda has failed both in marketing and technically in case of Twister, Dazzler, new generation Unicorn. All of the new generation Unicorn owners I have met is complaining about dark thick smoke from the exhaust within the warranty period. That's why Honda switched to 160. None of the Suzuki owners complained about such problems. The Suzuki is having less resale value not because of durability but only due to market problems. But, The Gixxer is trending among youths and it will certainly get better resale value in its segment.

    Is it true? How far the other two rivals meet this.
    I was riding pulsar 150 DTSi till now. I feel a lot of back pain after riding it for 7 years. I want u to suggest a good bike. I know everybody suggests Honda unicorn. But my likes r for Gixxer.
