    I hit way better when pitcher is in windup vs in stretch not sure if it's a timing thing or if there are more deceptive windup motions than stretch motions

    When we are reading or tracking the ball out of the hand, do you look at the wrist of the pitcher to see how the ball is coming out or anything? Or do you just look in that general area?

      Watch the pitchers hat during the wind up and then as he goes to release the ball try and move your eyes to the hand release point. this should help. most hitters in the game dont a) have a pre routine for timing the pitcher, i do a "load" like a 1, 2, 3 pump with my pci thumb slightly downward as the pitcher is in his wind-up and about to release for the best fastball timed and b) aren't looking at the pitcher, his hat, or where the ball is coming out of until it is released making the ball seem much faster for fastballs and much harder to read off speed.
      hope this helps. watch the pitchers hat, then move eyes to release point at time of release.

      @@ebond33 thank you but I also wanted to know like when do i begin to move my pci.. i have trouble tracking the pitch after it releases.. like do i move my pci when it gets close to the strike zone or as soon as it comes out of the hand.. i cant get to spots quick enough if i move it too late

    • @ebond33
      @ebond33 Před rokem +1

      @@PRETTYNAEXX3 Think of it more like a rhythm versus a quick snappy movement with your left thumb... and yes, this will take some time and practice to get better. Quick and snappy will lead to you having late swings or pci dropping and/or pci whiffs. Hopefully this makes sense via text but as the pitcher is in his windup I will swirl my left thumb in a counter clockwise motion all around the strike zone, just to get my thumb "loose"... as the pitcher gets closer to delivering the pitch I will rhythmically do a three light tap "load-tap" with my left thumb and on the third "tap" hold my thumb lightly in the middle high position... I typically start my pci anchored high middle and my "three tap" results in my thumb waiting for the pitch roughly between the high mid anchor and the middle anchor. I have my thumb there because that is typically where the fastest pitches will be and I will need to get to high inside/outside quicker and can still lower my pci to a lower pitch much easier. Also, I try to avoid "dropping my pci" or "chasing" pitches low in the zone early on in the count so this allows me to seek out pitches high that i can drive early... two strike approach is a little different of course.
      Also, watch the pitchers hat as he is in the windup and delivery and then as he is getting ready to release the ball your eyes will need to adjust to the pitchers hand... this should make it much easier to pick up the pitch early. a lot of player don't look for the back or "load" with their eyes and just try to hit it but see it way late because they a looking for the pitch when it has already left the pitchers hand.
      lastly, i strongly strongly strongly recommend buying "kontrol freek thumbsticks" and putting the high-rise thumbstick on your left thumb. this is a totally gamechanger for hitting and pitching!!!
      PS: Are you playing on a monitor with high fps? If not, it will always be tough to pick up pitches because the framerates will make the ball jumpy if you do not have a good monitor... this is also a gamechanger.

    I want to find camera where ball is not goin down to the zone center but more like in straight line but there is nothing like that in the game I think.

      sounds like a miss with pci placement. heres my tip. dont swing until you get a strike on you but every pitch before you get the first strike just try to track the ball with you pci. this should help you line up the pci better and then if your timing is "good" the ball will go much further... also, upgrade your squad? lol

      @@SticcSkills hmm, as you likely know, it'll depend on your hitters stats and quirks + the pitchers stats and quirks + the stadium you are playing in + etc... also, baseball is a funny sport where you can literally be perfect and still be out 50%-75% of the time. That said, It is typically better to be early then late... even sometimes better to be early than perfect as weird as that sounds. But that would just be my feedback; look at your players quirks and try and make sure your hitters power is no less that 85 minimum.
