I rarely write comments on CZcams but your hitting tutorial is for me one of the best. Specially when you mention that aspect of overthinking. I have moved my monitor so many times, and change the view angles. At the end of the days, it is just your hand eye coordination against the ball that is moving in front of you.

I think my biggest struggle is recognizing whether it's a fastball or off speed. I am often very early on breaking balls and late on the FB. If I go to practice and set it to fastballs I can do fine but then I have them mix in everything and struggle.
Great video! Very informative. Haven’t played Rank yet. I will keep all these great points in mind when I do. Specifically, the opponents tendencies in certain count situations. That was GOLD, Brodie! I am more of a football guy. Baseball is more or less a new sport to me.

This is hands down one of the best hitting tips video I have watched. Thank you sir! Also, have you dealt with TheShow having your pitches drift off from where you’re putting them even with 100% accuracy while using Pinpoint. In my first Ranked Seasons game I had up and in fastballs end up hitting batters when my pci for pitching was no where near them and my accuracy was 95% or higher
Pinpoint has been extremely inconsistent, very tough to know where the pitch will end up, thank you for the kind words❤️
It’s a very good video, my only gripe is your take on the “how to grip the thumb stick” aspect. I get the overthinking it part, but I’m sure you have tips and ideas for players to help control the PCI…whether it be lighter touch, claw grip, part of the thumb too use, etc. , especially for the many that have a problem controlling it’s location.
Would love to see what thumb grip you use ..
The game has been out for awhile now.. and season 6 is coming out and I have been watching a lot of hitting videos since it came out.
It’s the first the show game I’ve played online, I only played RTTS in the previous ones.
I started using zone early in the year and I can definitely say I have improved my hitting.. and I have gotten better but there has been moments where I’m fully burnt out from the game I take a break.. I’m able to be patient now but sometimes I get jumpy and go back to try to swing at everything.
I’m gonna try your practice tips and see if that helps me more! Thanks! Looking forward to play ranked next season.
The best advise I can give to start is. They want you to actually hit kinda early. There is no winning in guessing pitches etc. If you can't do sh with them if you hit them. So what yiu wanna do this season if you start out is this: get team affinity season players. Then do miniseasons. And f it! Do it on the easies difficulty for 2 seasons or so. This will hand you hit timing. Cause they gonna throw you easy inside balls to hit. And that's what you builf of afterwards. Gonna make everything more easy. Cause if you truly struggle with hitting, then you might aswell first get down how to hit a ball hard in this game. Meanwhile you actually gonna advance in team affinity and you gonna get packs and level up players.
Trust me newbies. It is gonna be more easy to adjust to more advanced pitching and different speeds of the ball of you got a solid base of when to press hit on easy mode. You may only be able to adjusz via that to online and so on tbh
Using bat with no inner or outer has helped my game a ton. Really helped me dial in my hitting. There was just too much going on with the PCI with inner and outer rings on.
Once I switched from 100% white circles and base inner to 70% yellow bat I noticed I was hitting and making contact with the ball way better and I was incredible at taking pitches outside the strike zone. But I’d sometimes swing and miss pitches in the zone so I switched to 70% yellow bat and base inner and it’s op I hit some many homers with it and it’s been my go to since

The glasses I wear are for a condition I have, however any middle of the road blue light glasses should help a lot!
So question, when you play online even in ranked seasons are you able to use button input? I swear you've always only been able to do analog stride...

Does the swing/batting stance you chose (specifically on rtts created players) make a difference on timing? If so, any suggestions on the best ones? I started with Trout so far but am late on everything still lol
Some people like certain swings more for sure but if you’re late on everything, you’ll be late with any stance.
Any 2handed stance will have more Contact , 1 handed stace = More power
The best tip do what you feel comfortable at....in a slump looking for a quick fix. Full stride analog legend killed me yesterday and today has been a recovery day and the custom practice was multiple hour long sessions and alot of tip videos and working out bad swings and bad discipline then the calling ball strike method recovered my swing thank you. The reassurance of pressing on a slump is bad helped me realize I was doing that. Yankees fan and yes there good in game but Homeruns for Rizzo and Florial and Hicks in one game proved you were right. You got a sub and crap I hit a dinger with Hicks against righty and tbh he is garbage

which Kontrol Freaks do you use? and are they high rise or low rise on the hitting side?
Low rise galaxy 3:11 on my left (PCI) Stick, High rise (but doesn’t really matter) on my right (pinpoint/analog) stick

I think the hardest part for me is timing. Seems like I’m early on off-speed and late on the fast stuff
Pick one and prepare, the minute you get stuck in between both, you’ll hit neither

It’s not awful, but give strike zone or high a chance for a bit and see if you notice a big difference
How you talk about hitting and not mention contact, power and normal swing?
Because you should never use contact or power
None of this matters because the timing is off almost every time. I load the game. I have to restart it maybe once maybe twice in order to get the timing correct. Lord have mercy. If I try to play online and we're talking, I have 600 megabytes per second. I got fast internet and not once have I gotten online and been able to hit a fastball because the delay is so long that you'd have to swing before the picture even throws the ball absolutely atrocious

I'm going to guess the tips. 1. Buy a 1ms monitor(shows monitor model)2. Use kontrol freaks(implements link). 3. Find a thumb position that works best for you(shows thumb position). 4. Be patient, wait your pitch and learn how to read the ball.
