When Kevin Spacy tells a young kid to run, they really should listen.
damn.... that sick. i guess he didnt tell them to run
I believe the Baby Driver is the only kid who heard those words from Kevin Spacey 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahahaha well played
yeah to run from real child molesters Kevin spacey isn't convicted he's been accused. Victor Salva molested a 12 year and He's not even blacklisted
This comment cured me of covid
When you finish a heist in GTA online and everyone wants to kill each other afterward.
Deborah is the one who stands in the back and watches the shit go down and takes all the money and drives off.
This shit is so true 😂👌 I actually laughed out loud.
Bruh wtf hahaha sooo true
I’m playing gta rn lol
@@mikeg7313 I don't play GTA a lot
What I like about this, is that probably everyone thought Kevin Spacey was going to be the villain or something.
NickToVa I feel as though it was inconsistent. It came out of completely left field for me when he actually helped Baby.
But it took me a while to realize that Doc wouldnt really ever hurt Baby, I think Doc understands Babys situation if he understands Babys ear ringing, so I guess if you look at all the subtleties, you can tell Doc was just bluffing when he was threatening Baby at the bar with Deb
i did, until foxx showed up, then it flipped to buddy which was a very nice twist
Brutalearll I love when films turn your expectations like that.
It was unexpected that the one guy that was actually nice to Baby through the majority of the movie ended up being the villain. I love that though.
I initially thought Doc was the major villain in the film. Surprised it was actually Buddy of all people
1:02 “I was in love once” that was enough to really endear doc to me. Such a simple thing but has a wide meaning. Chances are his love bailed once they realised what his life was, he saw what he had in Baby and Debra, he saw a chance to have it back (metaphorically)
Could be any number of things. The possibilities are myriad. It could be that he lives the life he lives now because his love met a tragic end. It could be that his love betrayed him, and he went from wanting a family and a good life, to doing what he did in his youth before he wanted to settle down. Maybe his love is still alive, but she's been taken hostage and though he will never see her again he does what he does to keep her alive. Etc.
could just be that this is based after spacey was let out of jail for pedophelia and now he has to resort to a life of crime because nobody likes him anymore
@@theartcafe7682 Pretty sure we're talking about the character he's playing.

Lex Luthor: "I was in love once"
What happened?
Kevin Spacey should count himself lucky he ended his career on a solid film like this.
Edit: Me from five years ago obviously didn't count on Peter Five Eight.
He would have been fucked if all of that came out after Nine Lives came out.
If that happened, they would have re-shot Baby Driver and replace him with another guy, just like what they did with All the Money in the World.
Edgar Wright is luckier that the scandal didn't come right before the movie's release.
Definitely Not Tommy Wiseau Imagine that was Daniel Day-Lewis?
i dont see whats wrong with kevin spacey, just come back and keep on performing
Love how the light is red on buds face and baby's face is black... bringing it back to when darling said "when my buddy sees red, all you see is black". Such a great movie
I never noticed that before! This move had some great moments of symbolism.
There’s all these comparisons of how Buddy actually perfectly mirrors Baby and to see an actually mirroring shot to reflect that quote. Wright has such good vision
Then it should technically be Baby’s face illuminated in red and Buddy’s black
Its also like with how back in the diner scene, Bats was wearing red while Buddy was wearing Black
and the scene when Baby was watching a TV there was a bull and red cloth
I feel bad for Doc...at least he had his redemption.
He died trying though. He was trying to help baby and Debora
I agree
Jean Rolon the original cut makes it even sadder
Yeah well don't feel bad for Kevin though.
Unlike Kevin Spacey
Fitting that Kevin Spacey's possible last film ended with him getting run over.
Not very classy
Actually, his last film was Billionaire Boys Club. Ansel Elgort was also in that movie as well
He is a very talented actor, I wouldn't consider his acting career over yet just because of some allegations which haven't been completely confirmed yet. and if he does do time then he will likely be back
And shot several times.
Kevin Spacey died in Billionaire Boys Club. Even more fitting.
If I died with Brighton Rock by Queen playing in the background I’d call it an honourable death.
same LMAO
Same
You sniff a lot of glue as a child?
@@salvagemonster3612 haha
sameeeee. top tier scene
It's interesting that Buddy become main villain. In the beginning he was the cool one, and he looked like a decent man
Miłosz Siedlecki The whole point of the film is don’t trust anyone, so it works
Brotha killed his gf
@@lisaistyping the cops killed his gf.
@Slavtern
The only last straw was Darling's death tho. I don't Buddy cared about Bats.
@Slavtern Darling and Buddy couldn't care less about bats, seeing how they even planned to took him down after the heist.
1:49 pretty much sums up the end of Kevin Spacey’s film career.
Scott Pickering and the house of cards keep crashing down for Spacey!
Scott Pickering okay and what
Lol
Give him two or five years...
Nah. The #MeToo and Time's Up movements are stronger and more relevant than ever. These guys will fade away like dust. No matter if the allegations are true or false, you're done.
Buddy being the final villain was a great twist. Doc seemed to be the natural choice especially after he threatened to hurt Debora if Baby didn't keep working for him, then Bats was the psycho who always mistreated Baby so he would've been the next logical choice. But Buddy who treated Baby well, defended him and even liked similar music, HE turns out to be the "real" bad guy? Damn. He was also a tragic villain since none of that would happen if Darling wasn't killed.
The whole point of this movie is how chaotic and unpredictable criminality is
"All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy. That's how far the world is from where I am. Just one bad day." Buddy's whole world was his Darling, when she died that was it. Nothing left to lose.
Bats was too foolish to be the main villain but it should’ve been doc he’s the reason baby’s still here
Not to mention that the whole thing that started this, Darling's death, was completely preventable
The entire point of Buddy and Darling was showing what Baby and Debora would become if they stayed in the game. It’s pretty clear that Darling isn’t that skilled of a criminal, meaning that she probably got pulled in by her love for Buddy similar to how Deborah was willing to run from the cops with Baby. It’s a really cool villain type of being both person vs person and person vs self at the same time.
Doc should have shouted "i'm gay" before buddy hit him with his car
LMAO i was 100% sure that there will be comments like that xD
Pretty sure he already did say that...
Batman tung kinh
Tung kinh
He should have because then Buddy would have just committed a hate crime
Kevin Spacey make wearing a suit look so cool.
Ricardo Matthews Wearing a suit *is* cool, who ever told you it wasn't?
Daniel Craig in Casino Royale would like a word ^
He doesn’t make diddling kids cool though
*cough Barney Stinson *cough
There's an actor named Daniel Gilles who plays a character who wears a suit every episode for 4 seasons. He makes it look badass.
This movie got everything I need. Music, acting, action, cars, legs of Debora.
😂
There's an alternate version of this scene that can be viewed in the script that makes Doc's sacrifice all the more tragic. Just before Buddy shows and after killing the gunmen, there's a pause after he tells them to run, before Doc then says "you and I are a team" to Baby, proving that he really did come to care for him.
Kevin Spacey would have got out unscathed if he told the goons he was gay, first.
I think he kinda did...

@@mcdiggles1141 cry’s in terminator.
I love this movie, especially Jamie Foxx, he did a great job being a enjoyable villain and very disturb sometimes too. Its a lot better than Electro from Amazing Spider-Man 2.
RoCk'In RoLl AlIeN from Japan that goes without saying.
Jamie foxx is always a win
That has nothing to do with this scene
@@stickerz7948 I know that, I just like to mention Jamie was a great villain in this MOVIE, that's all. Kevin Spacey was badass boss in this scene and Jon Ham was cool too.
I agree. He felt a bit underused in this
1:02 "I was in love once"
*18 years ago* "My name...is Lester Burnham"
"I still miss little Timmy."
1:44 "Here it is Baby. Your killer track."
Jacob Richardson okay
h2h2 Productions] what? Did you like the quote?
Jacob Richardson because he meant your dead right hear
It's because earlier in the movie, they listened to the song together because Buddy was like "I had a special killer track playing when I drive like a speed freak, what's your killer track?" and Baby chose Brighton Rock.
I was just replying to the guy that was guessing what it meant
*sacrifices his life to buy them more time*
*they stand completely still right up to the moment they're about to get hit by a car*

Doc and baby’s relationship is like yondu and starlords
JACK WILLIAMS So True I never thought of it that way! It’s just been a big year for fathers in movies! Logan, Yondu, Ceasar, Barbossa and now Doc
I’m damn lucky you’re my boy

Gingamin Productions You'd like The Good, The Bad and The Ugly then
@@henrygrooves4326 No cause of the close up shots genius
Darling said something about buddy seeing red
Most chaotic thing Buddy did here is actually turning the volume up to a number that is not a multiple of 5
The "I was in love once" was a nice touch. Just a final human moment between them before the end.
1:50 basically kevin spacey's career rn
The car is the allegations and the shotgun is his denial
Have u noticed Doc's nephew's outfit looked so much similar to Baby's when he was his age? Checkered polo, headphones, and blonde hair ;)
dang, good observation
It’s on purpose
Time?
Doc was such a interesting character. You thought he was gonna turn out to be the villain but in the end he really helped baby escape. Also his death was hilariously sad
The use of lighting/colors in this is amazing - I love how Jon Hamm is always shrouded in red.
That's my baby
Things I just noticed
1) the rising sound effect from the film's score at 2:00 goes into Brighton Rock until 2:09
2) the amount of bass, the clearness, and the volume of Brighton Rock changes with each shot depending on how close the camera is to Buddy's car
3) at 2:17 Buddy revs his car to the beat
4) at 2:47 a large portion of Brighton Rock is cut
ZdefSquared Productions a queen fan.
When You Did 4 That Was Because It Was Then Guitar Solo So Enjoy :)
4) at 3:00 her head moves in wrong direction
Baby also shoots in sync with the song for a little bit at 2:22
2:20 that jump was so cool
“I was in love once” one of my favorite lines
2:27 In Soviet Russia, cars don’t run over people, people run over cars
2:27 that's badass
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought that. And it’s somehow more believable than the whole fast and furious franchise lol
@@GabesEdtiz I’m sure it’s actually possible to vault a moving car in real life, at least at that velocity.
2:14 That was so clean
0:43 that line gives you a feeling that rarely gets used in movies

I swear this is one of the most underrated perfectly placed song in the right scene-- the sound engineers in this movie have good taste! Brighton Rock is also one of the most underrated Queen songs ever
Bats disliked the video
Vincent Arceo not only bats , griff, darling and buddy disliked it
Or hat‘s???
Notice how the villain has the shade of red lights in his car while Baby's car had blue near the end of this scene. Very interesting detail.

Sadistic jokes!

I love how Kevin spacy is pretty much always the mastermind leader half good half bad guy in all these movies lol
1:45 “When my buddy sees red, all you see... is blood”
Doc saying “I was in love once” should be the guarantee to a prequel
Baby driver is one of those movies that have towers of plot twists
1:08 "Bananaaaaaaas!"

BANANA SLAMMA
Because they're all black
Love how when he’s reversing he doesn’t look behind him once
1:56 For the love of Dodge, stop taking Hellcats out of circulation lol
It hurt me too, ‘14 V6 police charger and ‘15 hellcat challenger were both harmed in the making of this film
this scene kinda gives me a cathartic chance to just watch him go and remember him as he was.
If there's anybody that dislikes this movie its the Atlanta Police Department.
Writer: How many endings can a movie have... Director: I don't know maybe a couple? Writer: Quintuple, got it - say no more...

Despite his reputation now... Kevin Spacey makes a badass mob boss.
So good to see Kevin spacey is always willing to give a young man a hand
Despite the info that came out about Kevin Spacey after this movie..everyone cast was perfect for thier parts and the soundtrack is fire all the way around......this movie and Scott pilgrim are both criminally underrated ..
It's funny because Kevin Spacey

*shit
Reminds me of In Bruges. Trailers made it look like a dumb romp but it's actually a really dark movie with a really tight plot
Philgob the “TaKillYa” trailer is the best tbh
Funnily enough the trailers were what made me even consider watching this movie.
I wish I saw this movie when it was rolling in the cinemas
His relationship with Baby is what makes this film impossible to rewatch now.
aresef no not really
pretty presumptuous, Spacey didnt molest him, he was caught by surprise by the allegations too
Kevin Zhang Right, but the context of the characters’ relationship is still troubling given what we know now about Spacey’s conduct, even if Elgort himself was not a victim.

“Run”
*30 minutes later*
“Why are you still standing there?”
I love how baby just stood there, watched doc shoot a bunch of guys, watched him get shot, ignored “I told you to run”, and watched buddy run doc over 🤦🏽♂️
That shotgun holds a lotta rounds
As much as I love the conclusion to this movie I feel it could’ve been ended better with them escaping as for one last time he shows his driving skills
More satisfying for sure, ends the same way it began as he's driving off into the sequel a different person. Baby Driver 2 could've ended with the prison montage.
that scene pretty much sums up how Kevin Spacey's movie career ended, getting run over
Gotta love Buddy. Man's literally blasting his own Boss theme from the Car's tanoy, you can hear the music change direction and pitch based on where Buddy is on screen lmao
One of the movies that I can say with certainty... “I like it”
When you realize that guy took out an entire police precinct and stole one of their cars.
I love how her head bounces the wrong way when the hit the fence at the end
As a huge fan of Queen, I was DELIGHTED to hear a deep track like Brighton Rock featured on this film.
You'd have thought Kevin Spacey would be the one plowing something made in 2011, not the other way around.
What a badass scene.
The editing in this movie is godlike.
Cool thing is that when he sees red he becomes ruthless and the red light is a good addition.
