I was working in London measuring a job and then I had to drive to Edinburgh.
I thought it would be a good idea to drive the entire length of the A1 as I'd never done that before in 28 years of motoring.

Always liked the daily drive from the Highpeak upto Consett, Gateshead, Newcastle on a daily basis. Early start and it was always a blast. Coming back was usually a different story.
The road works were there back in 2011

I'd of driven past Grantham if I could but I live there. If the A1 has an issue and the traffic diverted into here it turns into a car park. The current A1 is a bypass to the west of the town.
