You’re spot on it’s a beast off road but also the most comfortable on road driving experience. On road trips it’s nice to make the ride smoother and turn off the exhaust note cause passengers are sleeping lol. Then when on the trail turn it back into the beast mode. GFC is a must and as for the wheels/lift I’ll say stock raptors never break but modified raptors are juicy so find that middle ground lol. I’ve had no issues with 35s on trails but I’ll put 37s on eventually cause I want that beefy look. You’ll definitely run into more of a wide body issue more than a height issue. Excited to see the build 🤙
I really like the idea of wedge campers where the bed swings up and you can stand/work/chill in the back. Like the GFCs but with beds like Alucab or Topotoppers Mesa. Would require either a lot of building to get the inside just right, or buying mediocre and overprices pre-built setups... But that's also probably because I really really want a Troopy with a roof conversion (like what's available in Australia and south Africa)... but we live in the US and can't have them. I also won't give up the OBW till I can find a sleeper/camper rig that gets more than 25mpg on the highway, and doesn't cost $70k.
