  • The 2024 Nissan Z returns in NISMO form. Which means upgrades. Its 3.0 V6 turbocharged engine now produces 420 horsepower and the suspension gets a whole host of mechanical changes. Which is good, because it’s… heavier. And automatic only. And more expensive. But how does it drive? And does the performance match its name? Thomas and James are excited to find out! We hope you enjoy the episode. SUBSCRIBE!

      The tuning crowd isn't just teenagers. I grew up with imports in the late 90s to early 2000s. BTW throwing a supercharger on a V8 needs tuning.

      it's 2024, there simply will not be any truly cheap sports cars anymore. Even the gt86 cost 25,600 at release back in 2012 which, adjusted for inflation, is roughly 35k today. Modern cars also have a ton more legislation and safety systems that they have to take into account - all of which bumps the price up.
      You are delusional if you think there is a genuine opportunity for car manufacturers to make a profit doing the R&D, designing and building a $30k two seater sports car today. Cars aren't an extension of the average person's personality anymore. Most people want an appliance that gets them from point A to point B and the less they have to interact with it, the better.

    For those who don't know, it's nearly the same engine as the Nissan 370Z.
    But stretched out with 4 doors, so you can roll with friends. It's the more adult and super luxury Z. All leather everywhere.
    The entire dash would move automatically for easy ingress and egress!! Most cars still don't have that. That alone really spoiled me for all future "regular" cars.
    Mine was a rarity. The x at the end means something very kewl. Rear biased, ALL WHEEL DRIVE. Crazy good grip for a SEDAN. No snow tires required.

    The Nissan z is the epitome of what every enthusiast asked for and is going to adore once it's not in production. 400 HP rwd manual v6tt very tuneable and starts at 43k right now. Performance with the LSD will be able to be had under MSRP if not already in high 40s and at that price point it is very competitive.

    • @ISLAMICSTORIES13
      @ISLAMICSTORIES13 Před 23 dny

      the performance model is competitive under MSRP at like 44k but not at 50k where it it right now. only 2023 used models are at low 40s. and the base model is just unbuyable

    Can confirm they are discounting these, at least in Alberta. Some have been sitting since winter and with the lower profits that Nissan dealers are making the discounts will only increase.

      Just basic oil changes so far, but the 1.4 liter motor with fresh oil has proven to last. The same motor is in many cars. The rest of the car is Mazda, so there you go.😊

    This car is so much better in yellow and in the sport trim. 400 horsepower for $45K(ish) is a way better price point, especially when equipped with a manual. We really enjoy ours, but the prices get crazy as you increase trims. The stock tires could use more grip, and the paint is really thin, but it is a blast to drive and gets tons of attention. We are very happy with our ownership experience so far.

    This car should be 40-45 grand, U.S. The regular Z should be 35 grand. It's a total miss by Nissan.

    • @ISLAMICSTORIES13

      I agree. 35 would sell like hotcakes. right now its the same price as a q60 and you dont get any luxury or awd. and the q60 looks much better.

    I’m glad it exists. Nissan missed out with no manual, pricing the Nismo much higher than the Supra GR and they gotta fix those few interior quality bits, work out the suspension and it’s a good sports car. It’s like, it came out half baked.

  • @benmclean2291
