  • Kubota SVL75 using the Jenkins Brush Mower - Super Duty Direct Drive. This implement has quickly turned out to be my favorite new toy. It can handle up to 7 inch trees along with it only using standard flow hydraulics at a max of 25 gallons per minute.

First front mounted rotary cutter I've seen with nylon straps as lifting and support bracing

They have actually proved to be really nice, I have a lot of steep and DEEP ditches on my property, I have learned that as I approach them I can roll the “bucket” forward and put a lot of slack in the straps. Then as I approach the edge of the ditch the rotary cutter will fall in the ditch and as the straps become tight, I back up. This method has proven to allow me to get a nice cut right up to the edge but I have felt very safe doing it this way. The company also claimed to have a lifetime warranty on the straps so if they ever fail. We will see. Stay safe!

Thanks for sharing. I am looking at the same cutter for my Svl75-2.

You will not be disappointed, just yesterday I ran it for about 7 hours cutting everything from grass in a horse lot to trees as I’m trying to push the tree line back off the hay fields. That brush cutter is a fun attachment to use.

I'm considering buying this so I appreciate your video. I have a couple of questions. Does your Kubota SVL75 handle the weight of the mower well? How high can you raise the mower to trim lower branches from trees?

My kubota handles the weight just fine. I routinely raise it about 8ft in the air but honestly it scares me, the thought of it throwing large chunks of wood at me. Hasn’t been an issue but I can imagine it gets dangerous raising any brush cutter up that high. I am not sponsored by Jenkins but I love this brush cutter so much we just placed another order with them for more of there toys. I also just ordered there wheel kit, I think it will help but I don’t know that for sure. The biggest down side to this set up is it’s the slowest way to mow if you are going to mow an open field. I didn’t film it but not to long ago I put my wife in the kubota and me on the tractor and we both mowed a horse field. The tractor is half again as fast but she was in an ac cab with the radio and I was sitting in direct sun an a 100deg day, so there is a trade off there. But what I have found that works for me is I use the skid steer to mow along the fences and in the timber and will jump on the tractor for the open fields, but the skid steer is much more comfortable to operate. Good luck to you and I’m glad this video helped you. Stay safe!

Kubota is built to handle weight. As for tractor vs skidsteer is a direct physical drive vs a fluid drive so tractor would be faster.

I use a battery operated leaf blower to blow off my equipment. It makes a big difference.

I bet it does. Just last night I realized how well my air compressor does to clean off the machine. With it being about -4F out when I got done plowing my driveway I realized I needed to clean the snow out of the tracks without water.

Great video, looking at the same one. How do you like the fact that it can move around vs one that is fixed with the loader. It seams like this will follow the ground easer then a fixed one, or do you think it wouldnt really matter. Thoughts?

Thank you, I love the fact that it basically rolls across the ground. It absorbs a lot of abuse without being transferred to the machine, ie hitting stumps, rocks, or logs. I have liked it so much we are currently waiting on different toy from the same manufacturer. I also am waiting on the wheels kit to put on my brush mower. I think it will help with the front wanting to dig into the ground as you turn or back up. But you can easily lift it when you start maneuvering. It was very easy to learn that little trick.

Just seen all of the units they had at the Kentucky expo and I am definitely going to be buying items for tree work and Bush hog that unit is pretty stout not to mention the cost of them a whole lot cheaper and a whole lot sturdier or busier than the competition and best of all made in the USA

I am very impressed with the quality of there equipment. We recently got there backhoe attachment and it definitely did not disappoint. With all that said if you do get the brush hog I recommend the push bar on the front but not the wheel kit. Just yesterday was the first real day of me using the machine with the wheels and I did not notice much improvement having the wheels and after a couple hours of use I noticed the left wheel stopped spinning due to the fact I broke the rim, when I was taking the wheels off I noticed that both wheels where broken. Maybe it was the way I was using it caused them to break but after running it without wheels for awhile and then having them for a day I have decided the wheels are not needed.

I prefer a deere, mower is awesome though!

My neighbor loves his deer and I was going to go with a deer but I can’t have the arms up in any other machine and still open the door. Great safety feature but when I’m putting out hay by my self I need to open the door and climb out even with the boom up a few inches. That was our deciding factor with this machine. And that mower is by far my favorite attachment. It’s just fun to run. Stay safe!
