pcdubya it’s close. It would be a good thing to have if the property was mostly brush. If was over grown with a mix of sampling and small trees the forestry mulcher would be a much better option. I would bring both to a job.
Man, that skid loader is pushing some serious horsepower and flow rate, too! That thing would make trailbuilding and maintenance so darn easy!

I noticed there was a pressure gauge on the unit facing the operator, looks like you can adjust what you are doing according to what kind of pressure you currently have on the hydro system. The blades are kind of stubby, swivel on a very large and very heavy flywheel, stores a lot of energy. Once it's spinning there is pretty much nothing that is going to slow it down much.

it only has 3 or 4 blades, sharp on both sides, which can counter rotate when you want. a much more sensible set up for sure !!! does a kick ass job for much lowar and simpler maint. upkeep! 🎯💯🥳🤠

Hey guys I had something interesting happen today, every year I rent a T-650 Bobcat with a Diamond 72" brush cutter to work on CRP land every year I get the same Diamond cutter but this year since they are a Bobcat dealer they were going to give me a BrushCat instead? OK I know nothing about the BrushCat but was sure willing to give it a try. Well as it turned out the only Brush cutter they had that I could use was the old Diamond, I could see it hadn't been used for awhile I am guessing since they are pushing Bobcat products ie. BrushCat. So I was at the dealership signing the rental papers and I commented on how much I love running the Diamond cutter and what a great job it has done for me over the years, I then asked the sales fellow how the BrushCat stacks up against the Diamond and his answer surprised me greatly, he stated that the Diamond was in a completely different class of cutter limited to 3" MAXIMUM diameter brush and your pushing it with that and the Diamond is darned near ready to cut down trees! I wont tell anymore because this is a great dealer and I use them for a lot of services but with THAT said I am sure glad I ended up with old reliable, I have 15 acres of heavy brush to get rid of tomorrow!!!

Incredible!! The Kubota skid machine must have a huge power take off the front to handle this heavy brush cutter. Does a remarkable job of knocking bush/weeds down. Have seen pros use a zero turn mower for similar work, but this skid machine/brush hog does it better.
High and low flow hydro hookups on the arm. Low flow for actuating arms and clamps etc, high flow for running things that spin up fast.

We we recently bought this cutter but I was wonder where do y’all connect the safety chain to the machine? Or if y’all even use it at all. I’ve read different opinions on using a the chain in several forums.
Attach the chain to one of the tie downs on the front of your skid steer.
