      I got a the least expensive tube band set from GoFit for 35 bucks that came with 3 bands. The bands were decent but the handles and ankle straps were horrible, nowhere near as good as those that came with their more expensive sets. Back it went. Using Bodylastics now.

    Great review, Dave! I also want to thank you for your honesty and opinions when it comes to recommendations. I am still awaiting my Torroband order, however I purchased the Undersun loop style bands based on one of your videos and have been very satisfied so far. Incorporating bands into my workouts have been a great addition. Keep up the great content!

    Dave, I bought the same bands. Those two towels are not important. They are used to pad the door cracks or clothes to prevent friction and scratches.
    Great review!Wsakoue bands are the loop bands I currently use. This brand is the best quality I have ever used and the price is very cheap. During the two-year service life, there is no any fracture.

    Love your honest reviews. Have you tried the 122.9 - 275.1 lbs Blue Loop fitness Band from Clench? Was considering getting it to do chest presses while laying on a bench to get a similar effect as doing heavy flat barbell Bench presses. (Likely using a bar such as the Harambe K2 long bar.

    I did have one Bodylastic band (light weight one) snap on me, and I have to tell you, it wasn't nearly as dramatic as DD fears it might be. I just heard a little "pop", and it just laid there, exposing a string. There was no attack.
    They say that the best workout is the one you're actually going to do, and for me, that anti-snap is the important thing. It's hard to really let go when you find yourself trying to look over your own shoulder, waiting for Death to Strike.

    • @treasurethetime2463
      @treasurethetime2463 Před 2 lety

      🤣😂 Jesus, man. Death? That's funny. I've had bodylastics for about 8 years. They are the "T.O" set, so I know it's been a long time. They don't have the snap tech, but only the light bands have snapped. The others eventually wore out. All I have left is the two 30lbs(one is almost done) and the black band.
      They have served me well.

    Should show the Aapozz brand. The strength in lb should be at twice the resting length.
    There are 7 bands @ 5, 10, 20, 30 ,40, and 2 bands at 50 lbs.

    “Should you buy these bands”
    A cheap but functional set of bands you can use, will always be better than an expensive set that can’t be delivered……… 😂 Torrobands !!
    To be fair, the set you review here are far superior to the two Amazon sets I’ve purchased here in Europe up until now…….. And the way the tubes are fixed to the carabiner via nylon strips, rather than threaded through the carabiner directly, reminds me more of the manufacturing style of far more expensive sets from the likes of Abilica and Casall…… I’ve not experienced any issues with cheap handles or carabiner, but both blue coloured bands have snapped on the sets I’ve purchased……. Wish I’d have thought of the ninja turtle pillow trick 😆

  • @FlashToso

    The resistance in pounds should be at twice the resting length & is a good standard way to compare band strength. Should how the band Brand, in this case Aapozz brand.

  • @Eightlimb
    @Eightlimb Před 2 lety

    Hi Dave! I finally got my torrobands. It took over 3 months to get them, about 15 emails were I was promised priority, shippment next week etc etc. Complete bullshit to be honest. But they are here. I understand this is not the channel to review the torro bands (so feel free to delete this post if you like), but it is not possible to review them on there site (not surprised). So its almost impossible to find a "honest" review about these bands. I have not been able to find one single bad word about these bands, so I must assume the reviews are in some way bought. All the extras (handles and carabiners) are premium quality, but the bands them self, solid 3/5. 350 lbs of resistance, who are they trying to fool? There is a noticeable give/stretch in the bands which makes them longer after one workout. I dont know when this will stop or if they will just keep on stretching untill they get stiff. Im glad I have a set of undersuns. after 10 years of gym training I have switched to mostly training with tube and loop bands. I have tryed about 5-6 different brands and I hade high hopes for this one. I was hoping that the torros would be the undersundbands of tubestyle-bands, I dont think that I would say that they are. I will keep doing my press workouts with these for a few weeks, but for now the feeling I have is that they will just keep stretching out and get stiff on me!
    My honest opinion; for those out there trying to elevate the band-game and get premium stuff, I would recommend the undersun bands every day over these, about the same price.

    • @DisciplineDave
      @DisciplineDave  Před 2 lety

      UnderSun bands are Great! I use those also. I think some exercises are better with loop bands and some are better with tube. I feel that loop bands will always be better quality because of the design and not attaching parts and tube bands will always stretch unless they put a string in the middle like bodylastics. Also the long shipping wait has been happening to all the major bad companies since covid because out supply chain issues. You can go on bodylastics site right now and they are sold out. They won"t even let you order. the delays across all ports in the US (global issue, happens in Europe and China as well) made the waiting period quite long.
      My honest opinion; if you are serious about working out with bands you need both. Loop style and tube style

      Many people haven’t due to demand and supply chain issues. It’s been happening every time I recommend something like the “Curl bar” I recommended is sold out. I understand your frustration but my recommendation is the about the product. I do believe in the product but I have no control over the logistics. I’ve been told just like you shipments are coming soon, but I want to assure you it’s not a scam. I still stand by torrobands are the best bands I’ve ever tried
