I am an INFJ male, I gave up on dating years ago. Dating apps don't work for me, I just cant connect that way with someone and I really suck at the traditional way of doing things like asking a woman out and flirting as I am so awkward socially. I did once manage to date an INTP girl for like 5 months and it was amazing whilst it lasted but that was 7 years ago and had no luck since. So I have given up and I have learned to accept my solitude but all the best too you Maddie.
Damn I would love to be your friend, being an INFJ can be very difficult... I feel like I have always been looking out for my soulmate, thinking that if i can find someone who understands me, i'll finally be able to accept myself and life will just be easy. I know now this is not the case and it's not what love is about so i'm working on being fine alone. it's not easy because I have always used the search for love as a kind of escapism from myself, i find that living in someone else's world is much easier than being stuck in my head all the time. I just know that's not fair on someone else, i have to exist as my own person and try to make sense of the world in my own way despite how difficult i find that.
This is like an instruction for someone who is dating INFJ. All of these are in my mind, and you can talk it out loud, until I really want to send this video for everyone who I will go on a date 😂 Thank you for doing this video. I also struggle on dating too 😅 Many time I told who I started talking with that INFJ, I only hoped them did some research about me and had good taking care of my feelings 🤣
Hard to watch because you're too easily basing your dating and relationship struggles as INFJ struggles, let's not scapegoat your INFJ'ness. You won't grow if you keep doing that- keeping yourself in a box. You'll get good feedback checking out the INFJ subreddit. INFJ is a list of possible varied traits, we're not all twins, it isn't a guidebook on how to live or function and should not hold you back. You can gain insight into some things but at the end of the day you are an individual with no foretold instruction manual- be free to be yourself.
