Yep, the same plague that carried the nickname "Black Death" and wiped out 30-60 percent of European population as well as over a third of the population of the Middle East. So not only do they serve as hosts and transportation for this plague, they also destroy thousands of acres of land each year.

Greg, great video. The prairie dog ain’t got nothing on the destructiveness of the Western Hemisphere Democrat. Not only will a WHD destroy his own neighborhood, he will gleefully destroy yours as well. The most common WHD species aren’t satisfied with just destroying property, they love to destroy societal norms and financial stability of the working class.
I'm from Norway. Your videos are more than a pleasure to watch. Genuine, high quality, honest content from start to finish, all of them. I watch them more than one time each one of them. An island of reality in an ocean of low quality!
WELL DONE SIR ! ! ! prairie dogs, ground hogs, wild bore, feral hogs, squirrels, chipmunks, river rats or musk rays, and a hand full of others, people have no clue as to how destructive these critters are... I used to say "how destructive they CAN/COULD be.. oh no, it is how destructive they are. And in some cases, how dangerous they are. The natural ecosystem is screwed up, and it is up to us ,the stewards of the land to honestly faithfully manage this wild life. Because if we do not, these nasty critters will destroy everything in their paths and nothing else, no other wild life can survive. Birds of prey, can't deal with millions of these critters per day.
So well done sir. Looks like you had allot of fun. It is very likely boring to you now, as it never stops with these little rodents.

Thanks Greg. This is a very entertaining video and I learned some new facts. I knew that prairie dogs can decimate cattle pastures, but I did not realize how quickly the spread of this invasive species can happen. Cattle are the Lord's reward and gracious abundance. I live in Central Texas but we have our own invasive species problem as well. Happy shooting and may God bless you 👍
As a P-dog shooter for many years in South Dakota. Shooters that could find easy access to prairie dog towns are now guide services locking up many towns and areas. They are charging anywhere from $175 to $300 per day for a "guided hunts" where you follow them out to a town, set up and they leave. Ranchers are getting some of this money but at the same time populations are remains stable or decreasing, some due to the plague and some from ranchers eradicating them. Please note that dog towns can disappear in just one year with the plague! So guide services are locking up more and more towns to always have dogs to shoot. Another factor is noise, hunting with out a can will make your shooting limited to 300+ yards even with a .17 HMR.
So it is a business nowdays.
@@northernsky6117 Yes it a big business now, think about what it cost to shoot them, Ammo figure about $1.00 per round a bit less if you handload, average day 300 to 500 rounds=$500, hotel $90 per day, food $50 per day, Gas $50 per day. Travel average 1000 miles both ways $300. So for 3 days $1500+ $270+ $150+ $150+$300+ $750= $3000 or about the cost of a pronghorn hunt with lodging and meals.
you might want to try a .20 Vartarg if you haven't already.....really fun cartridge.....I had one built for the dogs and it's a real hoot ... I'm shooting the 40 gr Hornady V-Max .204 @ 3450 ft scnds, and it's dead accurate....17.5 grs Alliant RL 17 ... bbl lasts forever, and doesn't heat badly at all......give it a look.....OnWard.....

Heck ya, love me some rat blastin! Gunnin the Pdogs here in Montana, funniest shot was 3 young ones all lined up holdin the shoulder of the ones in front, the 40 gr Vmax in my .22-250 turned them into mist. Standing next to the hole was a Burrowing owl who is now completely slathered in blood and guts, blinking his little eyes. Laughed so hard I dropped the rifle from the hood of the Suburban! It's time to get out there again!
Can you tell me what wsm ammo? i had one and got rid of it due to inaccuracy, i attributed to the ammo.

4:50 your math is a little off that’s assuming every prairie dog is female at most I’d say 1000 to 4500 but that’s max litter still a pretty astounding population increase. 🤔🤓
