DCS World: The Butterfly Effect (Mi-24 Hind) Short Film

  • A very short DCS film featuring the Mi-24 Hind.
    They say that with the butterfly effect, a butterfly flapping its wings can create a tornado several weeks later. I don't believe that. I believe that if you disturb the wrong butterfly it can wreak havoc right there and right then.
    ---
    Track files in DCS World seem to randomly get messed up with the Mi-24 Hind, especially when there are ground maneuvers involved. Therefore I'm only sticking to short 'short films' with the Hind for now.

    Thanks for watching again, everyone! This time a short narrative. Not much of a challenge mission wise, but I thought it was a nice scene for a short Mi-24 Hind film to keep you all warm for now :) I'll try to be a bit more creative mission wise next time!

    Short and sweet. Epic reaction time from the crew, popping them flares faster than I'd get to say "oh sheite...!?!"... :D

      Haha! I was on the lookout for that MANPAD. Usually you see a bright flash exactly at the moment when he launches the missile. When you see the smoke trail while flying this low, you're too late.

      @@plokkum Very true. I've found out that spotting the smoke trail being too late - the hard way. :D

    👍👍 Just when I though DCS cinematics were getting a bit old. This is new, fresh and really great looking. Loved it.

    Beautiful reaction time! I loved it, makes me want to buy the Savage more and more for GTA! And today I got distracted thinking about “How did they manage to not get spotted until the missile was fired? How does the radar work to detect the missile and not the lock on?” I’m just a kid but I am curious because it’s just so cool!

    • @plokkum
      @plokkum  Před rokem +1

      Thanks Stryker! Although my reaction time was this short because it was highly staged. I knew he was going to shoot me and where he was, so the moment I saw a flash coming from the ground is when I popped the flares :)
      I’m not familiar with the Savage, it’s been a long time since I played GTA. That’ll probably change when GTA VI comes out 😉

      @@plokkum Yeah I hope they flip the seats around in the Savage for GTA VI, the pilot fires the guns and sits in the front and gunner fires rockets while sitting in the back, it’s kinda stupid

    Ok seriously I am seeing more and more epic like vids regarding DCS. How the hell are you guys getting these swooping and panning cinematic shots? Best I can do is plant the camera in a spot and use the mouse to turn the camera angle. But you guys have like Hollywood panning shots
