    You give a great deal of value through these 4 videos.
    Thank you for investing the time, effort and love into giving this knowledge for free to us, common people,
    who don't intend to become project manager professionals but are, nevertheless, interested on
    making our daily lives better through understanding the basics. Thank you.
    PS. Also, your use of words is very well crafted and leave no room for misinterpretation.

      Thank you very much - I aimed to give a ton of value. And it's particularly gratifying that you like my use of words. I always take care to be clear and precise, but never to talk down to my audience.

    If the Project gets cancelled due to some organizational related reasons , what the PM should do
    1. Validate deliverables
    2. Update PMP
    3. Update Lessons learnt
    4. Update Risk Register
    Your thoughts please

    • @Onlinepmcourses
      @Onlinepmcourses  Před 2 lety +4

      That looks like a multiple choice question from an assignment or exam prep paper. My policy is to not help with assignments. But, as a learning point, I would note that it is important to understand the context, what has already been done, and the reasons for cancellation. Assuming PMP stands for Project Management Plan, if the deliverables had not yet been validated and the updates you list made and, if I had the time and resources, I could see myself wanting to do all those things.
      If it's a foolish multiple choice question, with only one 'correct' answer, I suspect I know which it is. But the real world is what i deal in, and there is rarely one correct answer.

    @Mike Clayton I'll like to buy your course but I'm a beginner which should i get first?

    • @Onlinepmcourses
      @Onlinepmcourses  Před rokem +1

      That's great, Lesley.
      I would start with either:
      - Project Manager's Fast Start Program - This is right for you if you are a manager or professional who wants to feel confident taking on a small to mid-size project but may not be committed to the PM profession yet - 3 hours of PM education
      - Project Manager's Skills Mastery Program - Deep knowledge. This is right for you if you are serious about succeeding in your first significant project, and see project management as a vital part of your job. - 7 hours of PM education
      Take a look here, to compare: onlinepmcourses.com/core-project-management-courses/

    Hi If the customer asks for some new requirements/refinements / enhancements to the end result ,product or service during the CLOSURE phase of the project , then do we Straightaway reject that request OR we route it through the CCB after doing the impact analysis ?

    • @Onlinepmcourses
      @Onlinepmcourses  Před 2 lety +1

      I am sure that will depend on the way your project is structured. But, post handover, typically changes and mods are now the responsibility of maintenance/ops. It also depends on what the product/service/asset is, of course. Other options are:
      - to invoke your change control process, as you suggest
      - hold the request for a future Phase 2 iteration of the project - ie a new project.
      But, if you are anticipating this happening, maybe you should be working to an agile paradigm, where iterations of this sort are standard practice and the new request can simply go into the backlog for consideration in a future iteration.

      Nothing wrong with my thrat - thank you for caring. And nothing wrong with the volume that an adjustment of your settings won't fix. CZcams warns creators of video levels are too low. Just turn up the volume on your phone, computer or at the CZcams window and enjoy!
