Good effort as I know how difficult it is to match on to any artex finish as each finish is individual.
Thank you! Cheers!
What’s the idea of using a plastic bag over the sponge mate? Great video 👍🏻
I always seal the repaired area before artexing with a watered down PVA mix , do you seal before artexing ?
All the original artex edges were sealed before applying the new artex. PVa works fine but on this occasion we used sbr which (in my opinion) is the ‘ belt and braces’ of primers / sealers 👍🏼
Ok just tell me what you charged for that . A two man job ?.
If you have to ask you can’t afford us. 😉
I’d want £200 or so. It’s a half day max but of course I wouldn’t do it for £125. And you can clearly see it’s not a 2 man job, maybe it was a day of repairs so they went together
Need to hide when can't justify the salary, Just saying...
@@didierdomi4Etoportor they just don’t discuss their prices to strangers on CZcams
Was the Artex done in the 70s or 80s it will contain asbestos they stopped adding asbestos around 1999 nasty stuff
And Artex contains ASBESTOS, what did you do to protect your lungs?
Obvs doesn’t all contain asbestos 😂
We do have and use PPE. Although just to clarify, not ALL artex contains asbestos.
Anything pre 80’s probably does and it’s worth getting any artex done pre 2000 checked.
As asbestos wasn’t officially banned in the uk until 1999.
It is worth noting that old artex with asbestos is generally considered ’low risk’,
Some artex, and it’s a tiny amount. So tiny that you get false readings often, I’ve had tests done on ceilings where 4 of the 5 samples were negative, yet 1 was positive, could easily have had 5 false readings
Good effort, its not easy to match. You can do most patterns with a pad and or carrier bag.
