We caught up with Matt Ingram, the current owner of the 2008 Daytona 24hr winning Mazda RX8. Racing in NSW Sports Sedans this car now sports a Pac Performance Billet Triple Rotor turbo powerplant, which gives it plenty of power against the V8s in the series.

I've had an RX8 for a few years, hit the track a bit and done a modest build, I honestly just wanted to sell it for a while now.. BUT maybe I'll make it cooler instead lol!

You're telling me, that this *one and same* #70 Castrol Speedsource Mazda RX8 GT that ran in Grand Am Rolex Sports car series. And that this chassis is the *one and same* #70 that won the 08 Rolex 24 GT division?

Yes, the team cars made their way to Australia and raced in sports sedans for a couple of years before the Ingram brothers purchased this one and rebuilt it for circuit racing.
