I once did Pondicherry to Delhi...I think it was 56 hours...I remember it as an amazing trip...it was loooong back though...must have been 1997 or something....but I also have only good memories...it was so wonderful to watch your video and get reminded of all beautiful moments of my beloved India that I miss so much ( actually being back home...but home is where the heart is ... and that is in India)...cant wait to come home soon...and yes, train trips are totally underestimated 💓🚅
Please do visit again. 🙏
17:00 Maharashtra looks very dry in summer especially in western Maharashtra but things change extremely when the monsoon hits, the shade of green is just mesmerizing
Truly!
Wheather we are rich or poor we Indians have special place in our heart for train journeys ❤️....Train Journeys are emotion for us😍
Yes finally the long awaited video is here . 38 min video for a 38 hour long train journey seems fair . It's refreshing and happy to be able to see and feel your experiences through this video . This type of "long" train journey is still pending in my bucket list ... hopefully soon i will check it off. Loved your cinematography and overall good vibes . The points you made throughout were very helpful and informative entertainment.
Thank you so much!!!
Wow!! hope one day you able to travel 72 hours train ride as i did in 2019.Longest train ride of my entire life is the Dibrugarh to Kanyakumari route total 4273 km.🇮🇳 Vivek express.🚄 Never thought 💭 that I am able to complete my mammoth journey.😅
OMG sounds EPIC!!!!
@@IvanaPerkovicOfficial Yes, Ivana, you should try. With this, you'll end up visiting NE. 😶🌫
Second longest train is himsagar exp. Kanyamumari south to katra Jammu kashmir route duration 57 hours.
Imagine traveling Russia by train, from west of Russia to east of Russia, probably takes week(s), you have to count by days not hours.
I know world longest train in Moscow to vadiastock (Russia) if I pronounce correct. One of the longest journey
The way you explore the India and your explanation about that places is very nice and keep going on 😊
Your fan from Hyderabad ❤️❤️
Thank you so much!
The change in air, sound and scenery when train runs over those bridges and u have no land to see beneath ur train is just so dope.
Hey Ivana, being a Rajasthani living in bangalore, I used to go from the same journey when I used to live in bangalore during my childhood (2002-2007) and we would get down at the exact same station - FALNA!!! For udaipur u would take a cab towards the east of FALNA.. And I used to take a cab 100km towards west of falna to reach my hometown/village. Lovely to see someone experience the same journey.
Vipul goyal ( the standup comedian) is from FALNA
we indians believe ...long journey trains are a part of our life.
The Aunty was so CUUUUTTTTEEE🥲💜💜💜💜🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 I MISS MY NANI so much more now (she passed away last year)
She was very similar in personality as the Aunty. ☺️ all the good wishes to u and people around u Ivana.😊
I love long distance trains. Everyone has beautifully explained their expressions. As a child I traveled across the country in trains with my parents.
Now I regularly travel in the Kolkata-Bhopal route to go to college from home.
We don't have the best railway system but it is the lifeline for India. Even people with lower economic background can afford to travel around the country by train. I respect Indian railways a lot for connecting the whole country without being expensive and still be the 8th largest employer in the world.
Ivana having the time of her life in India makes me so happy!
Wow I really think this might just be the best vlog you have created. Traveling on a train in India as tourist has been a huge dream of mine I loved the scenes of the nature absolutely stunning through each state . Thank you for explaining the logistics of the train compartment & luggage for sleeping have always found intimidating for privacy reasons looks like you had a chill
journey & a wonderful time. Auntie looks so sweet photos looked really professional 🌸
there are private compartments also, it depends on your budget what you want to opt for.
Thank you.
If you really are concerned about privacy, you can also book yourself in AC Coach ladies compartment. It used to be there when we were children (70s & 80s). I’m not sure about now but something like that should be available.
🥰🇮🇳🥰 Love it. India is Incredible.
we indians never get bored while travelling in indian trains...becoz we know our nation is diverse and every state you enter or cross you meet with different kind of ppl talking in their local language.
The vastness of India is incredible. Loved watching your train journey. 🙏🏽😍
It's wonderful to travel in Indian Railways.. You can find lots of different things, different cultures and different kind of people.. You will never get bored in Indian Railways if you really want to discover real India...
Nice video and as usual looking beautiful ☺️☺️
Sharing food itself is Indian tradition, just never ever take food from strangers, specially in Train. Have fun!
17:40
Maharashtra: Marathi and konkani both
Gujarat: Gujarati and bheel
Rajasthan: marwadi mewadi mewatiya shekhawati and tons of other languages depending on which part of state you are in..
Indian states are like European nation, each unique with it's own culture and languages, but the states here are thousands of years older...
Maharashtra language is Marathi, Kokani not belongs to Goa ,Not Maharashtra
@@gajendrapatil1762
Oh I thought they also spoke it in parts of Maharashtra
One more question: Maharashtra also has a lot of Gujarati speakers right?
@@abcxyz- Oh you don't know answer.
Maharashtra us way more divesre than u think.....though people used Marathi...but Marathi is also have 6 types
@@gajendrapatil1762 konkani is also used in Maharshtra. it's not just Marathi. Some locally spoken languages are also there in parts of Khandesh and Vidarbha. Even Marathi has many different dialects all over Maharashtra
In Goa also, Konkani and Marathi both are official languages.
Indian train journey us slowly and steadily progressing towards world class...good governance and competition (from low cost airlines)
My best memories are during train journeys ... complete strangers wishing me happy birthday... then I was traveling to odisha Buvaneshwar to give my NEET pg exam ... I was in upper birth with all my notes frantically revising and a paper fell down .. an old man gave it to me and blessed me and said I would definitely Crack the test ❤ 😍 , and I did ... really great ride , and there were lot of times we shared food and talked a lot with all our co passengers .... 😀
Indian railway 🚃 and station 🚉 really changed in past 5 year they are so clean and compartment are also so good.
I love the long train journeys and the trains in India have improved a lot interms of facilities and cleanliness but the only thing that troubles me are the train toilets..i think most of my fellow Indians would agree that some of us lack civic sense..i hate people who don't flush after use or throw trash in bio toilets ..but overall it's a great experience..sending lots of love to you Ivana ..stay safe and happy😊
My fellow Indians will never get better
33:48 . you tear the cap of lassi then lick the cover to eat 100 % of what you paid. lol very relatable
Born in Udaipur cultured in Kerala watching from USA... 🔥 Video great job very humble like the fellow Desi
You licked the lassi aluminum cover/seal like a true Indian would have😄, great to see u mingle soo seamlessly in Indian culture
I started to think of what I wanted to do in life just by watching you in the train😂😂....train journeys really get us in that mode
Bullet train will destroy this culture 🤣Rahul Gandhi should do protest to preserve this 🤣
Trains are my favourite mode to travel in india, amazing sights, ever changing landscape and cultures.
Yaaassss
What about the washrooms? I am genuinely asking, because i too love trains (I have a very bad motion sickness, but train makes it much better) but can't manage the dirty washrooms.
@@opinionated1944 same pinch 🕺
You did exactly what I used to do in my Journeys from Mumbai to Hyderabad..stand at the door and watch rural India..bliss!!
Indian train journeys are best thing one can experience in india…..
as you were with elderly people you didn't wanna disturb them during your dinner time as they already slept. How thoughtful of you Ivana! ❤️❤️
You've become so well versed with everything Ivana....wowo

It’s been almost 20 years since I had my last train journey. The feeling of self calmness to understand yourself during the journey and at the same time life not being stagnation is amazing. 👍

You are a Great Ambassador of Indian Railways....
I too absolutely adore standing at the door!!
What a lovely & beautiful video.
You Crossed my city. After Crosssing the tunnels (Lonavala Ghat). Maharashtra also a Fort state @ 19:48 timeline you crossed a station called "Malawali" that a station where you get down to reach the fort "Lohagadh" its visible from the train. the mountain with perfect straight cut is the wall of the Fort & Also People Living in 'Maharashtra' Called 'Maharashtrian' it's not a language. the Language of Maharshtra is "Marathi".
omg auntie is so sweet. I am crying
Loved your experience!
Beautiful video.
Great video again and fantastic advice for us well done your videos and great
Great...
What a nice review of an Indian train travel experience!!. A Normal and positive review with handy tips on Indian train travel from a person who seems to love what she is doing.i have read some nasty negative reviews of Indian train travel from other foreigners who frankly were determined not to be in sync with the culture of India and the experience of its slow long train journeys...so your review of a slow 38hour journey on the Bikaner Express was refreshing and delightful..on a light hearted note tho..4 years in Bangalore has "indianised" you with a near perfect Indian accent.😊👍
You are guest of my country, God bless you.
I have had the privilege to see and acknowledge many a videos of yours. I'm from Kerala and was wondering as to how come you explored so many places in India! So amazing... Wish you the very best and thanks for being so good. Best of luck dear 🥰

Beautifully narrated 🙏
After following your channel for quite a year or so ...i can confidently say that your an Indian citizen (Metaphorically and literally ) because the passion and genuine love you have for india is unquestionably pure and true . If you'r still called or being regarded as a foreign after literally being no less than a n unofficial ambassador for india , i give up . Lots of love to Ivana
38 hour on a train, I can't imagine surviving Ivana. Big Salute to you. Hope you enjoyed Indian wedding :-)
Because you are a rich guy 🙃

Yay!
People, Places, Time and Events what contribute to memories. But in our day to day lives not all of the above 4 are changing. Time passes on but places mostly constant, most of the people are constant, some events are reoccurring and some occur for once in life time. But in travel and journey, people, places, events also change with passing time. We come across people and places just for once in life probably we ll never meet them again and never be to same place again. All this makes one nostalgic reflective and emotional. Particularly train journey just sitting there in berth watching people n places change plus glimpse of other people's lives stories is so eventful for our minds. Feels like life is literally traveling along with us or we being part of a life like motion picture.
Lots of love from Madhya Pradesh 💖💖💖

Train Journeys are best ways to experience warmth of Indian people, fantastic, interactive, helpful guys. I have wonderful memories having travelled over 2k miles. Vadodra, Mumbai, Madhurai, Mysure, Benaras, Rishikesh and Klu.
