user-gq5mf6yj6i Do you mean the EverStart battery from Walmart? If I am not mistaken, they are made by the same company that made the Interstate battery.
I just bought one from Napa for $170. When I installed and started the truck and it's won't start at first try, it's start at second try. I think it gonna last only 3 years.
Johnson Controls sold there Battery Plants to Clarious 5 yrs ago they are under Brookfield Investment in Canada , There are 2 major Battery Companies that have the highest market shares Clarious and East Penn Mfg
Just replaced 7 year old Interstate in my F150 (still working)...with another one (my mechanic uses them in his vehicles!). The MegaZone etc batteries never even lasted 3 yrs.
I've run Interstate for 40 years! Not anymore! They've lost their quality! Nothing but junk anymore! No Interstate for sale in my shop! And the big sign is no longer hanging outside!
I ran a garage and sold interstate batteries however they only lasted 3 years I've found walmart batteries last longer and are reasonably priced.
Thanks for sharing your insight! It's always helpful to hear about different real-world experiences with products.

In my experience, their 'ever start' batteries are NEVER START!!

SOME Interstate batteries are made by Johnson Controls. Others are made by Exide( not good).
My 10 year, 3 month old Interstate is starting to die! Never had a battery (24F) last this long, amazing!

I am satisfied with Bosch batteries. We dont have Interstate here in Norway.
As I brand I love Bosch, I even use their spark plugs on one of my cars. Quality brand, for sure!

The Duralast GOLD are made by East Penn( The best in the US). The lower cost Duralast are not .
because they are heavy, it's better to make them at multiple locations and not ship them a long way.
Great point!
Now some Interstate batteries sold at Costco are "Made in China". Have to wait and see how they perform and last.
China is chit! Don't buy it!

Thank you for sharing your honest feedback after all these years of loyalty to Interstate. It's important to prioritize quality.
What do you recommend?
