I joined the Army two weeks our of HS. A lot of my friends went to college or started working a 9to5 because they were TOLD this was the way. All of them are still in the US and Heavily in debt (keeping up with the Jones) BUT they have those degrees on the wall LMAO. I served 4 years and got out with a Honorable discharge then filed for my Veterans benefits. Sitting here in Thailand enjoying that check every month.
Joining the Army was the Best move I ever made.

I served 6 years in the Navy and sadly being stationed aboard the USS Forrestal wasn't all that great. I wanted to make it a career but I got no help from my commanding officers. The best advice they gave me was to go to Sub school. I didn't like the idea of being cooped up on a sub for the length of time they spend on deployment. So I just took my honorable discharge and went back to my job I had left to go into the service. They weren't too accommodating to the brothers back then and I saw a majority of the white sailors get away with a lot of shit.

US Army vet here. What he says is real and true.
    But!!
I would NEVER recommend the military to men now. It sucks!
Instead, get into IT Consulting specifically in AI, Sales, Cybersecurity, Data Sciences or Cloud Services.
Then round out the edges with an ITIL or LEAN Six Sigma certificate. Green or higher preferred but Yellow gets you a leg up.
Then make sure your public speaking is on par. Toastmasters or Dale Carnegie courses will help. Or just CZcams it if you are a badass.

Been out and working professionally for over 30 years and now I'm steal ready to retire at a fairly young age. That military disability is big boost to things. If you are young, fit and can put up with taking orders, risking going to war etc. it is a very good thing to do. I saw many guys in the military piss it all away on cars and motorcycles and what not, but if you are smart, the military could be a very good option.

You have to file. No getting around that. The US recognizes dual citizenship so you can get a 2nd passport or you can get a residence permit for many of the places you've visited. Like Ye said on "Grammy Family", "That Louis Vuitton sh*t ain't cheap mane". Like ya guy mentioned, Andrew Henderson, the Nomad Capitalist has his CZcams channel, which he doesn't monetize, but does charge for consultation. His clients are 7, 8, and sometimes 9 figure entrepreneurs and business people and some celebrities. I watch frequently and the cheapest citizenship is one of the 5 in the Caribbean. It will take about 6-9 months if you meet all the requirements and will set you back 150K +/-. The best thing about it is you don't have to live on the island or visit during the process unless you want(it is the Caribbean so why not visit).

I wish I knew that in my 20s. My IRA has been POPPING because of the SPDR fund.
It tracks the S & P 500. So when the stock market is roaring, so are you.
If my crypto investments explode, I have every intention of cashing out and stuffing the winnings there.
I should be able to retire overseas after that. As I'll be comparatively REALLY WEALTHY then. I'll make like 100k a year on the fund and only spend $20k.

    @noahwald907 Před 7 měsíci +6

With full respect, I appreciate you and enjoy your content.
But this is misleading information and to someone who doesn't know anything and hasn't spent the time to experience how it works will have serious misunderstandings.
FEIE only applies to earnings from wages. It has nothing to do with capital gains -- interest, dividends, and sales of equities (inc. crypto).
It is true that in a few countries like UAE you can avoid taxes on "wages" as a resident in that country. If you are in France, you best believe that you will pay taxes on all of those things if you are a resident there and FEIE would be a huge mistake where you will overpay on taxes significantly. I'm speaking from experience.
So it will ultimatel;y depend on where you are a resident and if you don't pay taxes as a resident somewhere else....then you are not going to qualify as FEIE. Now the only question is -- do you want to lie to IRS or the country your'e a resident of and risk not getting caught. That's on you.
If you go for a low-tax country, perhaps for example Colombia, you FEIE might make sense for you vs. FTC but should absolutely try to check.
Either way, whether you use FEIE or FTC --> you are going to owe taxes to USA on capital gains if you are not paying them to a country where you are a resident. If that country doesn't tax you (e.g. crypto), you will owe taxes on it to USA. But if you use FTC annd you are in a high-tax country then FTC will be much more advantageous for you.
Click-bait title and dangerous advice IMO
