Steel doesn't make much of a difference if the frame is wood. If you're getting a steel door for security it's best paired with a steel frame. On top of that, it doesn't matter which door you choose for security if they can break a window and reach around to the latch.
@-ManSplainerWell actually Ma’am, you reinforce your home to give you engine to prepare to fight back. If someone wants in they will get in, the purpose of these things are to give you enough time to gather yourself and fight back. Usually in the states, it’s to give you enough time to grab your gun. But if you are in a gun fight a hand held gun should be used to give you enough time to grab your high round rifle.
I've seen the sun melt the glue on fiberglass doors and warp them. My old wood door still looks awsome and strong after probably 50 years. Steel for commercial applications, wood for residential.
@jrdnwhtny1 wait I was gonna do steel door. Why is fiberglass better? I'm assuming corrosion, but does it really affect a painted steel door very much?
What doors are definitely nice. You just gotta gap them a little more for swelling and then don't drill your deadbolt closer than 16" from the knob there's no strength when they're close together if you put your deadbolt in correctly with the right spacing you can have almost the same strength as a metal door.
My pick is fiberglass, I work in a door factory and I run wood steel and fiberglass doors all day, fiberglass is by far the most durable and best insulated
Our fiberglass doors are 32 years old and still look great! We are getting ready to build a new house and they will all be fiberglass again. We even used fiberglass for our blank doors in the garage.
It's one thing if you're trying to secure a commercial property but a steel door doesn't really do much for a residential home's security. Almost all of the time it's the frame/lock that fails, not the door itself. I'd pick wood every time for my home.
You royally failed to mention the energy efficient door which is what most people are interested in because it's obvious what each door look like. We dont need you to tell us the obvious
Steel security with wood look. 4 way bolts.
Not to mention booby traps
if i had a steel door i would want it to look like steel so no one wants to break in
Something like medieval doors, thick wood with iron frame,

That’s why you want your house filled with security cameras so while they are finding a way inside those cops are on the way.
@@MeLlamanJhonnyor put security bars on all windows
@@All_Amin Good luck trying that if you have an HOA

Untill someone kicks your wood door down
Steel is the way to go, definitely for a front door
Beachside in Florida fiberglass is way better

Fiberglass 12 insulated requires very little maintenance looks great for years would you have to finish it and clean it up every 5 to 6 years
Wood, mahogany and oak kickass

We built a home 33 years ago and the fiberglass doors look just as good as the day they were installed.

I'm thinking you probably making the right pick, if you choose the steel door and that you did

Embassy doors. Have a 5 minute swat team rating.
I consider any door as ZERO maintenance...
Fiberglass for many reasons.
Steel dents
Wood expands and extracts

100 wood doors for me plz
Full glass with 165# Fula behind it. Easy to clean, lets in light, never needs painting.
And nobody is going to break in
Way pick 1 when you can have all off them
Metal doors alone won't give you increased security.
All the big manufacturers make a good door.
EXCEPT: Mastercraft
Steel
Steel is best
How about West facing in extreme heat?
Fiberglass is the most energy efficient.
@@JM-yx1lm 😊 thanks!
Titanium....kinda pricey.
ProVia Embarq fiberglass doors will stop a small truck going through your front door. Also who the fuck puta wooden doors on the exterior of a home.

Totally steel door
Best exterior door is what you have inside, glock 21 is the best.
