Poker is super easy to understand. You just have to know what all the different card combinations are and which combination beats what. (pair, three-of-a-kind, flush, etc.)
For the rules of dominoes in Red Dead 2 look in the help menu. Other videos I've seen on this topic are either people playing dominoes in RDR2 without explaining what they are doing, or an explanation of different variants of dominoes which don't use all the same rules that are in the RDR2 version of Dominoes. BTW check out my channel for full play-through with commentary of Red Dead Redemption 2 and many other games if you are into that kind of thing.

@@John-996 I’ve won a few games too but I’ve seen Arthur pick up every domino and the cpu just breeze through. Game makes sure I lose most of the time. Gambler challenges are a nightmare. I beat this game 100% and playing dominos was one of a few things required that made me want to pull my hair out. lol pure torture.
@@mnmfreak502 I trying to Do all Gwent side missions in Witcher3 And I come close to wining But its almost like they are scripted to win. Red Dead2 i have actually won dominoes a few times. Getting 100 Perexnt In Witcher3 is Hard as you have to do pretty much everything. In Red Dead2 you can get a 100 percent and still not discover Everything. These are the Type of Games That are not Really designed to be Checklist Games but when doing 100 Percent in any Game it becomes a Checklist.

The rules of dominoes in RDR2 are….your opponent always has a piece to play unless you pass and are sitting on a ton of points, then suddenly your opponent will pass.

The gambler challenges are the worst. Liars dice in RDR1 and dominos in RDR2. I feel like these are the last challenges most people attempt. I'd rather fight a grizzly with a knife (RDR1) or the tedious hunting and herbalist challenges than play dominos.
I'm guessing it's because you played a game type called "Draw", where the goal is not to make multiples to score points but rather to place down all your tiles first to score points from the leftover tiles of your opponents. Hence, there is no need to keep track of the edge score.
With all fives, you have to make the edge score a multiple of 5 to score. In all threes, you have to make the edge score a multiple of 3 to score. Otherwise, you score nothing. For example, if a 2/4 tile is placed on the table in all fives, you could connect a 1/2 tile to the 2 to make the edge score 5 and thus score 5 points (1+4=5).
