Chuck was a legitimate bad ass. That guy would fight anybody with a smile, and never mentioned anything about money.

Chucks brain is still there and he can understand everything thankfully but the slurred speech is definitely a problem hopefully it doesn’t get worse.
I think most of the slurring is probably muscular from biting down on the mouthpiece all those years (I've experienced something similar and I don't have any CTE at all). I think if he actually started working on the range of motion of his jaw, massaged all the tight muscles that bite down and above all SLOW DOWN and be deliberate when he's talking so he's not mangling the previous word he would sound quite normal. He's so passionate about the subject he is talking about that he is almost at the tempo of a rapper but his jawdexterity is garbage after all these years. Even IF cte is a factor in his slurring specifically he could do a lot better by slowing down and being deliberate but people just write it off as "normal" because he's a retired fighter. I'm sure Chuck also thinks it's normal because thats what he's been told.

At one time he was a killer. I saw him and Vernon White live. It was the only event ive been too and when he knocked out White the place was electric. It was amazing.

He's coked out of his mind (either that or speed). You can tell by the way he's fidgeting his mouth, grinding his left thumb, etc. Between him and Paddy's off season pie face this was hard to watch
