Church safety security considerations for 2 church scenarios at Old Cutler Presbyterian church

March 9, 2024 - My team and I had the opportunity to work and train with staff and volunteers at Old Cutler Presbyterian Church, Palmetto Bay, Florida.
Here are 2 scenarios as they were being executed and some points to consider AS you are walking towards the person and BEFORE you make contact:
1- Slow down, take a breath, assess the situation
2- Consider your approach and how you will approach to make contact
3- Consider what you will say and how you will say it
4- Continue to assess and adapt as the situation evolves
