A time ago I made a comment that once I found a job again I'd make a donation. I got you at the end of the month brother. For the Emperor.
loved the video brother do you plan on continuing the vracks series?
I cant do the patreon, but you got a subscriber and likes!
Yes vraks will continue
love that your showing which books it covers. if only i wasnt so broke.
I can't believe the Emperor was blindsided like this. For His sake, not only is He the most powerful psyker of all time, but His son's name was literally Horus Heresy. It doesn't get any less subtle than that.
and Horus Heresy's second in comand is called: a bad one
I shall alert the assasinourum of your prescence
He was distracted by his human webway project.
@Janovich i never noticed that before and now I'll never unsee it 🤣
@@Janovich thank you I can never unsee it this lmao
Seeing Erebus is like finding a cockroach in your room
Hey hey, cockroaches are dignified creatures. They don't deserve to be compared to Erebus.
Fuck that guy
@@georgsimon7083 thank you brother captain, i came here to say that same shit n was pleasantly surprised when you already dropped in on em
Yea, fuck Erebus
Amen. Fuck Erebus.
Things that caused 10.000 years of decay and suffering for the imperium:
- The Emperors god awful parenting and communication skills
- Erebus
And it's a fair debate as to which of those was the primary instigator and which just nudged things along.
I blame Erebus more. He killed Argel Tal and got Magnus turned into Tzeentch's bitch for the rest of nonexistence.
@@centric3125 Magnus's soul could be reclaimed by the Captain General of the Adeptus Custodes by challenging Tzeentch to a game of Paradox-Billiards - Vostroyan-Roulette- Fourth Dimensional - Hypercube - chess - strip poker
Erebus was the catalyst but there was a lot of dissent all throughout the Imperium. The Heresy wouldn't have gone so far if people in power weren't already unsatisfied with the state of things.
Fuck Erebus.
@@CrazyDutchguys Those games are a bit more difficult than Ork Operation; remove the funny bone - pass me powerklaw!! :D But safer than playing Solitaire by yourself; unless you're She who Cheats! :D
Me: I cannot wait for the next Vraks episode.

Me: That wasn't what I asked you, but damnit I'm buying it

Janovich: Here you have a new series, The Horus heresy
Me: I cannot wait for the next Vraks and Horus Heresy videos.
😂
Be happy he finished the krieg civil war
The Emperor has blessed us with another Janovich animation, here hoping fan animations become popular again.
They will
They must, for the emperor demands so
It’s not that they became “umpopular” it’s the fact that GW decided to attack every fan animation with lawsuit “cease and desist” threat or forced the creator to work for them for Warhammer+
Blessed is he who post warhammer content
@@emperorconstantine1.361 Agreed I apologize if I sounded like I was saying that they became unpopular. No, I was referring how GW gutted the majority of the animations and then they put in warhammer+ as a cope.
I'm glad to see you going into the Horus Heresy, also known as "Literally Everything is the Fault of Erebus"
For real though, literally everything
or maybe its the fault of the emperor for being a terrible dad
Actually battle brother I think you'll find that the fault lies with the cowardly cyclops Magnus the Red. An honest and forgivable mistake on your part I'm sure.
@@esquarswagmen275 Found the Space Corgi.
Ngl we need an Erebus Heresy AH lmao
“Vraks is long”
Horus- “Hold my Beer”
I love how the "Eye of Terra" sounds like "Eye of Terror", the subtlety of that small detail is amazing
I like how Ferrus Manus is a man like us. The subtly hinted at fact that his hands are ferrus handus
@@tsoliot5913 Amazing indeed, to this day I cannot believe that Ferrus Manus is actually a man!
@@FanaticAlpharius with hands! The artistry of it!
If this ends up being a complete coverage of the most important parts of the entire Horus Heresy, this series will be beloved by the entire 40k community eventually, guaranteed.
Can I just say that I love Samus' speech. Especially "Samus is the man beside you."
Hearing it brought to life so well is a treat, captures how disconcerting it truly is.
No
@@notstandingwithukraine9478 Yes
Samus is a man?!
Looks like the Hunter herself has been hired by the Galactic Federation to eliminate the Imperium of Man's elite Space Marines.
I'm pretty sure possessed Jubal was killed in 63-19, not in the Vengeful Spirit, the remembrancers we're accompanying the Luna Wolves deployment and were called after the battlefield was safe.
I was looking for someone else who noticed that mistake, they hadn’t left the whisperheads when jubal woke up again.
Yes killed twice on 63-19. As Jubal and then as the full formed Samus.
You sir are correct
Exactly
Im only 18 mins in but he also said monnachia was the word bearers captial.
you never disappoint ! I was excepting something more limited, more local for your next animation but you straight up went for the Heresy with a delightful THIRTY-FIVE MINUTES VIDEO. It's like asking for a probe on the enemy and receiving the full and mighty artillery barrage on their position.
Yeh it got a little out of hand, but it was worth it
@@Janovichwhen is the next one? 😁
Working on it, next video
You absolute madlads! Not only are you tackling one of the most complex events in modern science-fiction, you're doing it with the highest graphical fidelity on the channel to date.
Also, Congrats to 100.000 Subs which you just hit while I was watching this!
Technically not a 100k special but close enough
Now I jinxed it
@Janovich yeah but at least you got your great push with this video.
And now you're finally at 100k
This is like a 40k version of Napoleon's campaigns from EpicHistoryTV or similar channels. Very nice!
It's so cool how Abnett does 63-19. When you're reading it, it's ambiguous as to whether this happens at the SoT, and given that this book came out before there was a Black Library Horus Heresy, that's what you would assume reading it. 63-19 is simultaneously foreshadowing the heresy, setup for the case against The Imperium, and tells us that maybe, it was always the character of The Sons of Horus to betray the emperor all along - a notion that ends up haunting Horus in particular throughout the series.
I really like the idea of primarchs having "normal" human friends.
The amount of work you put into this is amazing. Well done!
Im respect for all people who make same videos. But Russian JJCase makes fantastic cycle about of Horus heresy best of the best
czcams.com/play/PLO6KTRU1FBgut6LbOY5RBmL7YVuvgXq9y.html no eng subtitles
Remember the part where Horus says "It's heresy time" and single-handedly destroys the future of humanity?
That was pretty cool.
They say that Ferrous Mannose was the first primarch to die. I say that there's an argument to be made that Hourus died in the temple and what came out wasn't him.
Also the two nameless primarchs
Jan, you have absolutely outdone yourself, great work!
The animation itself is great and even better than usual, but the narration is seriously exceptional.
I was questioning wether it was really you or not at some moments, had to instantly rewatch the 1st part of the Vraks series, night and day.
Seriously looking forward to the next one!
The Emperor protects.
The voice recording is from Artemis, voice actor in the discord server.
Thanks!
This channel is going to boom if this level of content keeps being produced!
Great work Jan, some of the best videos ive ever watched. Great formatting =][=
When will another siege of vraks come?
The amount of effort you put into that is truly amazing!
Thank you good sir
30k: signs of hope and betterment of mankind. Humanity generally kicking a$$.
Than chaos just had to ruin everything. Stupid Erebus.
More like Big E wanted shit to hit the fan so primarchs and space marines would kill each other but it didn't go as planned.
classic Erebus!!
[ sitcom laugh track ]
I just finished reading the first three books of the horus heresy and oh man this is just what I needed
This is amazing! This is what I have always wanted for 30k. A well-animated lore series. Please continue this series, because you are doing a service to the Warhammer community.
slipping the chaos symbol into the vox audio signal graph is brilliant.
Heey, cool you noticed :)
This shit is insane this is literally the type of content I live on MORE MORE MORE I want more this too damn good.
Love is always a weakness that Chaos can twist and corrupt. The Mournival acted out of love and Chaos drove that wedge all the way to the Emperor, who also out of love, stayed his hand against Horus. And in M41, love is the tool of tyranny, fear, and hatred among humanity.
This top-down tactical map lore video is actually perfect! I can't believe it hasn't been done sooner!
26:22 "The faint demonic voice speaking over the vox-"
WHOPPER WHOPPER WHOPPER JUNIOR DOUBLE TRIPPLE WHOPPER
Man im dead💀
Horus Rising...for me the best book from Horus Heresy so far :) Thank you very much for this series. Your narration is awesome!
Just started reading the Siege of Terra series as my first Warhammer books, and although I know scattered lore leading up to it, a series like this is super helpful. Great format, great quality, just really well done content right here. Can't wait for more!
Erebus the type of dude to break into your house, take a turd in your toilet and not flush. Leaving you with just the remains of his dinner.
This is literally the best lore video on warhammer. Omg this was good
At last a horus heresy deep dive
Yo, this video is top tier stuff. I already know all of this because of the books, but I am enjoying watching this!
In case anyone is curious, this video very neatly summarizes Books 1 and 2 of the Horus Heresy series: Horus Rising and False Gods. Great job, Janovich!
Sir Janovich, your storytelling skills are nothing short of spectacular.
I look forward to this series.
+++The Emperor protects.+++
Thank you!
Finally a great opportunity to dive into Horus Heresy without reading tons of paper. Thank you so much for that! Also hope you will finish The Siege of Vraks eventually.
Honestly the Horus Heresy has gotta be the greatest tragedy written in our time in my opinion
I can only assume you're very narrowly read.
It's pulp fiction, equivalent to a soap opera about primarchs throwing fits and being jealous. It's Days of Our Lives with Orks.
I love that, but holy shit, it's not the greatest tragedy in our time.
@@ineptwizzard I read 30 books a year, and 50 audiobooks minimum lol, but go on, tell me what you think is the greatest tragedy written in our time, so the last fifty years, maybe seventy five years tops
@@3adgamd3r >some fiction is "the greatest tragedy"
>millions of real people die in real wars
@@p_serdiuk when a few young nerds decide to create a grimdark sci fi setting based on what they thought was cool, and it genuinely turns into one of the greatest and most deep and complex bodies of science fiction ever compiled, it's rather impressive given the humble beginnings in Rogue Trader. For my part, the real world is so corrupt and grimdark but without the soaring fantasy of a galactic civilization, so I enjoy fiction more than nonfiction but if I were to name the greatest tragedy I would point to The Gulag Archipelago for example.
@@enochianwolf Yep. 40k is based on real tragedies of real people. It has few elements that are a pure flight of fantasy. But real events are always going to be more tragic, simply because they are more real.
Brother get the Flamer. the HEAVY Flamer.
Woof, the part with Samus being whispered on the vox was freaky.
Having just finished the False Gods book, man I'm glad I found this channel...excellent storytelling
I can’t tell you how excited I am for this series!!! I’ve always wanted a tactical and strategic view of the Horus Heresy!!!!
Now this is Content! Thank you for long hours and sleepless nights of work! It just seems like the quality continues to rise with each animated video!
The Horus Heresy is my favorite war in 40k, so this scratches all my itches wonderfully.
Loved the video @Janovich! Can't wait for the next video man! Aside from basically Quoting the Book, which was inevitable much like Thanos, I have a Sneaking Suspicion that the Voices over the Vox network were actually the Chaos God's themselves.
The first time we hear is at 63-19 en route to the Whisperhill Mountains, talking about Blood and Bones. Remember the Iconic line "Blood for the Blood God, Skulls for the Skull Throne" for Khorne? What if at that time we were hearing Khorne over the Net.
The Second time is on The Moon of Davin, Talking about the Cycle of Life and Death before Zombies would end up attacking The Luna Wolves, now Sons of Horus. True to the saying that "Nurgle always loves you" because he brings Rot, Death, Decay and Disease, we might have Heard Papa Nurgle over the Net.
With this in mind, I can only guess that at some point in the Next video on the Horus Heresy that we'll be hearing from Tzeetchz to round out the Chaos God's prior to 40K as Slaneesh wouldn't be Born until the 39th Millennia (38K) thereabouts.
Let me know what you think about this and I'll catch you in your next video man! Do you think we were hearing Khorne and Nurgle on the Vox network or was it one of their respective minions?
"Eye of Terra "
Oh come on. The signs were there
I love your vids! Top tier. But the way you burn through the horus heresy so fast is killing my soul. I would've loved your strategic/tactical recounts of what took place in that part of the story. I understand you have to go through 50+ books, but it would've been so cool.
Idk if this was intentional or not but this type of video is almost exactly like something the channel HistoryMarche does. Love seeing this type of content for 40k
Yes I love historymarche, took a lot of inspiration from him
@Janovich keep it up brother
12:28 holy shit what a rendition, this part always stood out to in the book and you recreated it perfectly
I loved the first few audiobooks most of all. This really takes me back lol. Thank you.
I’ve watched this like 3 times I really wished somebody would give you a billion dollars make this a show
Praise the Emperor, this is awesome
10 additional points awareded to an already epic channel for the use of the Willhelm scream at 28:29 in this episode!
This was good to enjoy a dinner to. Keep up the good work.
Loved this and will be anxiously awaiting the next installment.
So many of the 40k videos just use random art that does not fit with what is being discussed. This was such a nice change of pace from that. Well done!
Great work! Clear, focused on details, climatic music, sound and voice. Perfect.
You’re engaging in quite an undertaking with this series, especially with your level of thoroughness. And you’re off to a great start. You have my full support!
I am elated to see you bringing the Horus Heresy to life with amazing animation and storytelling
I was there, the day Horus slew the Emperor. - Horus Rising
I was there, the day Horus fell. - False Gods
There are a couple of slight discrepancies here, but everything else is pretty good. Loken hadn't shot the man playing the Emperor, but one of the officers under Abbadon's command, and Jubal came back to life back in the Whisperheads fortress.
I was thinking this also . But amazing video anyways
Bro I'm absolutely here for this, only a couple of mins in and a visual aid for the great crusade is something iv always wanted.
Hello i read the horus heresy book and this explains how it happened and I really much appreciate your work. May the blessing of the Emperor with you brother.
This was really good. Pared down, straight forward, nice job, sir.
I LOVE THIS STYLE OF CONTENT! Looking Forward to what comes next!
AMAZING WORK MATE!!!!
THE EMPEROR APPROVES!!! =][=
les goo a horus heresy video in this style is just amazing...
day 11, still on the edge of my seat waiting for part 2 to drop
Great Video brother, but one slight correction. Jubal's corpse did not reanimate on the vengeful spirit, but rather jubal contacted loken asking for him to come see something , loken showed up and jubal was already possessed , amd that's where loken took him out (barely according to "Horus Rising") , meanwhile in the wake of the astartes assault a large group of remembrancers including Keeler, Synderman, and Ollaton had landed and were in a town that was being occupied by the imperial army, when loken after defeating Xavier Jubal could'nt comprehend what just happened so he summoned synderman for advice and an explanation, that much is true , but none of this was aboard the Vengeful Spirit, rather it all occured deep underground in the caves and bunkers of the whisperheads fortress.
Keep fucking making these, this is our version of HistoryMarche and Kings and Generals
Ive read most of the Horus Heresy, and now up to Warhawk in siege of terra, Horus and the XVI, it’s like night and day between Horus Rising and then. It’s this video is a huge throwback but it’s quite sad at the same time, seeing how things were before it all
This is the best quality content I have seen in a while. Congrats, thank you! We are waiting for the next
This is amazing stuff. I hope to see more of this continued. There is so much lore to unravel and to piece together. Seeing the play by play of events that lead to the events of what transpired on Terra and the rest of the imperium is a story worthy of being told.
Keep up the great work!
Judging what will arrive in the next part of the Siege of Vraks, Janovich better add a small pause, heavy thumping sound and its Iconic horn when the "Thing" landed just so we can feel the awe of our beloved Kriegsman.
Don't wanna spoil it, but to those who knew. You know our masked bois are for some heavy pounding from the back. Lmao
