  • Rishi Sunak has successfully won a battle with the House of Lords over the Rwanda Bill. His legislation has now deemed Rwanda a SAFE country, therefore allowing asylum seeker deportations to begin in just a matter of WEEKS.
What is the Rwanda Bill, and what happens next for asylum seekers?

We can't do that. It would destroy the economy to deport every migrant in the UK. We have pretty low unemployment which means lots of businesses going bust because they've not got enough staff and most of those businesses also have British employees so those are then unemployed as well. We also then don't have enough people paying NI to cover the pension bill
