Well, it's a matter of taste. For my part, I would add of good taste. Almost the whole world loved, downloaded, bought this song, which went viral without any publicity - The kids had recorded it when they were 15 to 17 years old, more than 4 years before it became successful. Since then they have become very famous all over the world. And the whole world, tastes aside, recognizes that Damiano is the best frontman of recent years. I mean, apart from Corey, it's like hearing someone who suddenly went out at night, saw the moon for the first time and tries to convince others that it's really not that great or even worse. In a way, it's really funny. 😁

It's really that Corey recognized how great maneskin are. I hadn't heard of them before either, until I saw them on the live stream at Coachella and they absolutely destroyed it! Great songs, incredible stage performance. I wish you had been able to react to the Coachella version or one of the other festival shows. They were dressed a LOT more provocatively and didn't have to censor themselves as much as they did on a cheesy awards show. But even this performance is still great.
Corey you let your emotions to see the other two mates they didn't transmit anything except having them long face on the screen and avoid to feel something. I'll admit I didn't like Madcon's version. I felt it was boring. Måneskin is way better. Though admittedly for Måneskin this performance was relatively tame in comparison to their usual This isn't their best song though. You might have to try Zitti e buoni, or their newest single 'Honey(are you coming)'
First of all thank u for yr reaction.and pls allow me to point out a few things: the performative talent of these guys is undeniable it can't be an opinion then everyone is entitled to have personal taste and not like them....Beggin' is not their song and not something they're super proud of but a song to which they're extremely grateful because for some reason after they won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021 someone on TikTok posted their recording of Beggin which went viral: it was a very bad recording a low budget production dating back to 2017 when they were participating to XFactor Italy and performing covers for the show. At the time they were 16-17-18yo (even now the older, the singer is only 24... ) I'm not crazy either for the song Beggin but these guys have plenty of original songs and their live gigs are stellar. Out of curiosity I'd like to know who is very good in your friends opinion? Because from what I see there's plenty of successful hip hop artists out there which don't deserve the praise they receive imho and however they rule the scene... One more thing if I undestood correctly (sorry english is not my mother tongue and your accent is tough for me to catch😳) your friend with no glasses said something about having a female guitar player in the band is something many does as a trend or so... Victoria De Angelis, Maneskin' bass player, 23yo, started playing when was 8yo and she"s the founder of the band in 2015, together with the guitar player Thomas Raggi. There, they were set up like a four piece rock band throwback to the seventies, bass to the left, lead guitar to the right, and front man front and center before the drums and rocking out hard. English ain't the singer's first language, if that matters. I think I'll go check out the Four Seasons version now. Hmm, that version has a lot to recommend.
