What degrees did you cook it to you? And was that 2 cups of light brown sugar?

Great recipe! Be careful, slicing the toffee on a Silpat as it will ruin the Silpat. I lost one from doing that.
**Important tips for toffee success are:
    - use a heavy bottom pot to cook it, preferably with roundish bottom like a saucier.
    - when sugar mixture looks like the color of peanut butter, it's done.
    - using wooden spoons will help prevent crystallization.
    - using a heaping tablespoon of corn syrup like Karo or golden syrup will prevent crystallization (it's a different type of sugar than cane sugar)

I use white granulated sugar with 1-2 tablespoons of Karol syrup to prevent crystallization. Works great. Have never used brown sugar, but some people here seem to have used that successfully.

Never put your hand in your food processor with the blade in it. Plus, it was still plugged in…yikes!

In American English, almond is pronounced ah-mund. A lot of people pronounce this word incorrectly by sounding the "L".
